    Abstract: A method and apparatus for synchronization in sidelink communications is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for performing sidelink communications, includes: receiving, by a first wireless communication device, a first message from a first wireless communication node; determining, by the first wireless communication device, at least one first synchronization reference according to the first message; selecting, by the first wireless communication device, one of the at least one first synchronization reference as a second synchronization reference for receiving a sidelink communication signal; and performing the sidelink communications with the second wireless communication device according to the second synchronization reference, wherein the first message comprises configuration information for the sidelink communication.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for configuration of sidelink channel resource units for sidelink communications in a wireless communication network is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a first wireless communication device, comprising: performing sidelink communication on a first sidelink channel resource unit of a first sidelink channel, determining a second sidelink channel resource unit of a second sidelink channel according to the first sidelink channel in a sidelink channel couple; and performing sidelink communication on the second sidelink channel resource unit; wherein the sidelink channel couple comprises the first sidelink channel and the second sidelink channel, and wherein a first sidelink channel resource unit comprises a first number of first resource units in the time domain and a second number of second resource units in the frequency domain, and the second sidelink channel resource unit comprises a third number of first resource units in the time domain and a fourth number of second resource units in the frequency domain.

    Abstract: A communication method, comprising: transmitting from a base station to a mobile station a first message which includes resource information corresponding to one or more resource pools, wherein the resource information identifies at least one sub-frame and at least one resource block within the at least one sub-frame, transmitting to the mobile station an indicator of one or more designated resource pools and designated resources from within the one or more designated resource pools such that the mobile station is permitted to communicate with a wireless device in communication with the mobile station via a wireless link using the one or more designated resources within the one or more designated resource pools.

The timing information configuration method includes that a first node predefines or configures timing information of a second node. The timing information includes at least one of: a timing mode, a downlink transmission timing alignment mode, a timing advance (TA) configuration mode, a TA value, an offset of a TA value, a number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols that an uplink transmission timing is advanced or delayed relative to a downlink transmission timing for alignment, or a number of OFDM symbols that an uplink reception timing is advanced or delayed relative to a downlink reception timing for alignment. The timing information configuration method includes that a second node determines timing information of the second node in a manner of predefinition or in a manner of being configured.
