摘要： Apparatus for applying a liquid to a cloth or the like including a stamp roll having a peripheral surface provided with a pattern of pits. A rubbing block, having at least one material supply passage extending vertically therethrough, is disposed above the stamp roll in such a way that a lower rubbing surface of the block is in sliding contact with the peripheral surface of the roll. A supply container is connected to the material supply passage of the rubbing block for supplying the liquid through the block to the peripheral surface of the stamp roll. A pressure roll is disposed below the stamp roll in abutting relation thereto to carry the cloth into intimate contact with the peripheral surface of the stamp roll. The rubbing surface of the block is formed in the downstream side of the material supply passage with a plurality of parallel recesses extending orthogonally to the rotating direction of the roll where a portion of the downstream side rubbing surface is disposed between the material supply passage and the plurality of parallel recesses.

摘要： Apparatus for treating yarn ends while plaited in unstressed condition on a conveyor belt. In different portions of a machine the treatment consists in fixing dye-stuffs printed upon the yarns and drying the yarns after fixing and subsequent washing. A pair of rolls form a nip through which the conveyor belt and the plaits thereon pass upon leaving each of the treatment means. Yarn pulling means pull the yarns from the nip and off the belt, applying tension against the reaction of the nip without applying stress to the plaits advancing toward it.

The mat moves on a vacuum screen which draws washing liquid from the body of liquid through the mat to clean it. The retainer pivots to adjust different mat heights and allows clumps of material on the mat to pass underneath the retainer. 摘要： A process is provided for coating of substrate webs with polyethylene wherein the edge thickening and other processing difficulties caused by the necking-in phenomenon are minimized. The process comprises extruding a polyethylene having a melt index between 30 dg/min and 100 dg/min through a slot in a slotted die in the form of a sheet onto the moving substrate web to form the coated web, and passing the coated web through a nip roll assembly comprising a chill roll and a nip roll, the slotted die having at the extremities of the slot therein edge guides which are maintained at a temperature above the melting temperature of the polyethylene and are contoured to guide the adhered edges of the extruded sheet into the throat of the nip roll assembly.
