摘要: A bridge structure comprising at least one pair of upstanding spaced apart rigid mast-towers and a rigid boom-like member extending upwardly and angularly respective each mast-tower. At least a tie member joining the free end of each boom-like member with the free end of its adjacent mast-tower, the tie member having a substantially fixed length and serving to support the boom-like member off the mast-tower. An elongated deck extending beneath the boom-like members and supported from above by a plurality of tie members, the tie members depending downwardly from each boom-like member free end, to define a pair of fan-like configurations. In a further embodiment of the invention, a pair of such structures are utilized, such being arranged in face-to-face relation. In a still further embodiment, a third deck structure is interposed intermediate the two face-to-face structures. In a still further embodiment, the two structures less the decks and their supporting tie members, are utilized as a cable support.

摘要: Apparatus (100) and method for providing active motion compensation control of an articulated gangway (200) which comprises at least one fixed part fixedly mounted on a sea going vessel, a movable part being movable relative to the fixed part, and at least one actuator for moving the movable part relative to the fixed part. A first position reference device provides position and attitude information (m) of the vessel referenced to earth. A second position reference device provides position and attitude information (y) of the movable part referenced to the gangway. An actuator driver generates an actuator control output in response to a regulator signal (R). An active motion compensation controller device receives the position and attitude information m and y, an operator control input (J), and the velocity information (y{dot over (y)}) of the movable part. A differential kinematic (DiffKin) device compute and outputs a current position (p) and velocity (v) of the gangway endpoint from m and y. An active motion compensation (AMC) device computes and outputs a reference position (pp) and velocity (vv) of the gangway endpoint from J, p and v computed by the DiffKin, An inverse kinematic (Inv) device computes and outputs a position reference (α) and velocity reference (αi) of the gangway endpoint from p and vv computed by the AMC. A regulator (Regulator) device computes and outputs said regulating signal (R) in response to inputs of said a position reference (α) and velocity reference ({dot over (α)}) computed by the AMC.

摘要: A temporary bridge for supporting heavy loads includes elongate hollow cylinders. A first rigid flat plate is horizontally disposed in overlying relation to each hollow cylinder and a second rigid flat plate is horizontally disposed in underlying relation to each hollow cylinder. Stress-distributing strengthening members formed by a pair of legs that are angularly disposed with respect to one another are circumferentially positioned about each hollow cylinder and the respective free ends of the legs are secured to their associated rigid flat plates. A key extends from a first end of each hollow cylinder and a mating socket is formed in a second end of each hollow cylinder to facilitate end-to-end interconnection of a plurality of hollow cylinders. Further embodiments include longitudinally-disposed timber mats, pedestrian walkways and curvature-creating members so that the bridge may follow a non-linear path of travel.
