摘要: A bridge and method of installing the bridge for spanning a hydrological surface feature. The bridge includes a deck spanning the hydrological surface feature, at least one tower, and a tensile support system connecting the deck with the tower under tension to provide a tensile force for supporting the deck. A density and surface area of the deck, and the tensile force provided by the tensile support system, are selected to facilitate flotation of the deck on the hydrological feature with a top surface of the deck at a selected elevation above a surface the hydrological surface feature while supporting a selected load and while the deck is supported by the tensile force.

摘要: An apparatus to interface a cab section of a boarding bridge having a first deck and an airplane having a second deck. The apparatus includes a lower-frame assembly, upper-frame assembly, bridge gangplank assembly, and airplane gangplank assembly. The lower-frame assembly includes a plurality of wheel assemblies. The upper-frame assembly is connected to the lower-frame assembly at adjustable height and pivoting position, and includes a third deck atop the upper-frame assembly. The bridge gangplank assembly is connected to a first end of the upper-frame assembly, and includes a fourth deck to connect the first deck and the third deck. The airplane gangplank assembly is connected to a second end of the upper-frame assembly, and includes at least a fifth deck to connect the third deck and the second deck.

The two legs are supported by the at least one foundation. Each of the two legs includes at least one aperture. The horizontal support has two ends. The first end is located in an aperture in a first leg of the two legs and a second end of the horizontal support is located in an aperture in a second leg of the two legs. A rod forms a joint between the foundation and one of the two legs. The rod is located in the aperture in the upper surface of the foundation and in an aperture in a lower surface in the one of the two legs.

摘要: Light, self-supporting precast slab that can be quickly assembled on prefabricated girders of the type used in the construction of viaducts, bridges and similar constructions, characterized by projections located in the bottom part to increase the effective edge, thereby giving the bridge larger spans and enabling the installation inside the girder of conduits or pipes with large diameters, enabling it to be handled and transported by road in compliance with current legislation regulating the transporting of large loads.The present invention contributes the major advantage of providing the bridge with larger spans and the possibility of installing conduits or pipes of a larger diameter than the height of the girder on large bridges or viaducts, thereby enabling it to be fitted quickly and the precast slabs to be safely and simply assembled on the girders, while at the same time reducing the weight of the unit through a reduced cross-section, making it easier to transport and fit.

摘要: Track unit apparatus for high performance rapid transit trains which includes a single tubular support frame supporting guide tracks for the high speed train vehicles as well as guide tracks for additional conveying vehicles. The track units include guide tracks for supporting overhead or suspension high speed train vehicles, which guide tracks are attached at cylindrical steel longitudinal tubular members. These longitudinal members also directly support surface type railroad tracks or roadways for conventional type surface trains. A plurality of such longitudinal tubular members are provided, with a pair of these members being spaced laterally from one another at the upper part of the frame and at least one other of these tubular members being spaced below and intermediate the upper members so as to form a triangle or other polygonal cross-sectional shape in conjunction with tubular lattice members connecting the respective longitudinal tubular members. The railroad or roadway supports are provided above the upper longitudinal tubular members. Intermediate the triangular shape bounded by the tubular members, further guide structure is provided for conveying vehicles so that the space taken up by the support frame is optimally utilized. In addition, the longitudinal tubular members, as well as additional pipelines, also include spaces for accommodating conveyance of materials such as gases, fluids, fluidized solids, and the like.

摘要: The present invention provides an improved method and apparatus for automatically aligning and connecting a passenger boarding bridge (PBB) with the passenger door of an aircraft or other vessel. A sensory suite module includes cameras and sensors to scan the apron for obstacles and identify an aircraft based on external features. The sensory suite module also includes one or more high-precision active laser line profilers to detect the vertical and lower edges of an aircraft door. A controller module provides precise control and movement of the distal end of the PBB and guides the distal end of the PBB to the passenger door. The system can be activated by a remote triggering panel module.
