The cap is mounted onto the first structure such that the chamber contains the first platform. The device also includes a second T-shaped structure defined via a second leg and a second platform. The first leg vertically moves within the second leg such that the cap travels between a depressed position and a pressed position. The cap is raised above the second platform in the depressed position. The cap is in contact with the second platform in the pressed position.

摘要: Key impact noise produced during data entry operations is abated with a configuration in which the deformable portion of the resilient member can abut the bottom surface of the key top and a gap is formed between the key top and the membrane sheet when the key top is displaced to the lowered position. This allows for the key top to be prevented from abutting the membrane sheet when the key top is displaced by the user from the raised position to the lowered position. As a result, the noise of collision between the key top and the membrane sheet is no longer produced and the key impact noise of the keyboard can be diminished.

摘要: Keys of a keypad are configured to exhibit a wave-like vertical profile across a width of the keypad, thereby improving user comfort. Keys on the edge of the main grouping are raised, with the height of adjacent keys gradually reduced until a minimum (trough) is achieved. The height of the further adjacent keys is then increased until a maximum (peak) is achieved. In accordance with one embodiment, the keyboard includes two key troughs separated by an intervening raised key portion. The key troughs are positioned at the approximate location of hands resting on the home row of keys, for example in the case of a QWERTY keypad at the “D” key and at the “K” or “L” keys. The continuous, flowing change in the vertical profile of the keycaps renders the keyboard more accessible to the natural, relaxed state of the human hand, easing physical strain.

摘要: A cushioning means for placement on a computer keyboard is provided for reducing the discomfort of a typist using a keyboard and to personalize the keyboard for a typist. A pad may be attached or applied to one or more keytops of a conventional keyboard, each pad being of a self-adhesive reusable translucent gel material. The pads may be attached to the individual keys without a separate adhesive layer. The pads are translucent allowing the key identifier to remain unobstructed to a user. The pads may be used not only to cushion the keyboard, but to allow a user to personalize or decorate her keyboard. The pads may be of an assortment of colors and predetermined sizes in order to fit over the different keyboard keys. The pads may also be used to cushion or decorate other office devices including a computer mouse and a telephone keypad.

摘要: A keyboard includes a housing having a number of passages formed by cylindrical members, a number of keys each having a shank slidably engaged in the passages of the housing, and an electromagnetic floating force generating device having a number of coils arranged to generate electromagnetic floating force and to float the keys relative to the housing. A number of magnets may be attached onto the keys and acted with the coils, to allow the keys to be floated by the electromagnetic floating force generated by the coils or the magnets. One or more fan devices may be disposed in the housing to circulate air through the keys.

摘要: The present invention relates to a device and method for measuring force, primarily due to fatigue. In one embodiment, a finger fatigue measuring system is provided which measures the force output from fingers while the fingers are repetitively generating forces as they strike a keyboard. Force profiles of the fingers are generated from the measurements and evaluated for fatigue. The system can be used clinically to evaluate patients, to ascertain the effectiveness of clinical intervention, pre-employment screening, to assist in minimizing the incidence of repetitive stress injuries at the keyboard, mouse, joystick, and to monitor effectiveness of various finger strengthening systems. The system can also be used in a variety of different applications adapted for measuring forces produced during performance of repetitive motions.
