Abstract:
An air pressure warning device of a vehicle tire has an excessive/deficient amount calculation module (10b) for calculating an excessive/deficient amount on the basis of the difference between a normal air pressure stored in a normal air pressure storage module (10a) and a detected tire air pressure, an informing control module (10c) for controlling an informing module (11) to inform an excessive/deficient state of the tire air pressure determined based on the calculated excessive/deficient amount, and a normal air pressure correction module 10e for increasing the readout normal air pressure by a predetermined value when an expressway traveling detection module (10d) detects that the vehicle is on an expressway.
Abstract:
An apparatus for estimating a tire pressure condition amount of a tired wheel mounted in a vehicle is provided with a wheel speed sensor (10) for detecting a vehicle wheel speed representing an angular speed of the tired wheel and for outputting a vehicle wheel speed signal in response thereto and an estimating unit (20) for estimating the tire pressure condition amount based upon the vehicle wheel speed signal outputted from the wheel speed sensor. The estimating unit includes a vehicle condition amount detecting device (40) for detecting a vehicle condition amount and for outputting a vehicle condition amount signal in response thereto. An estimation of the tire pressure condition amount by using the vehicle wheel speed signal is normalized based upon the vehicle condition amount signal outputted from the vehicle condition amount detecting device.
Abstract:
Different types of data included in a signal transmitted by a transmitter, except for synchronous data, are each configured by a binary code signal of a predetermined bit count. The synchronous data is configured by a signal of a pattern different from the bit codes that configure the data other than the synchronous data. This enables a receiver to recognize the synchronous data in the transmitted signal easily and reliably. Further, the data length of the synchronous data is shortened. This shortens the data length of the signal, thus ensuring optimal wireless communication between the transmitter and the receiver.
Abstract:
A tire condition sensor module (14) for a vehicle (10) includes a tire condition sensor (78, 84, 88) operative to sense a condition of an associated vehicle tire (20) and provide a tire condition signal having a characteristic indicative thereof. A motion detector (32) is operative to detect movement of the associated vehicle tire (20) and provide a motion signal that indicates movement of the associated vehicle tire (20). The sensor module (14) also includes a transmitter (44) which is operative to transmit a tire transmitter signal having a characteristic based on the tire condition signal. A controller (74) has one operating mode responsive to the motion signal in which the controller (74) controls the transmitter (44) to intermittently transmit the tire transmitter signal. The controller (74) has another operating mode also responsive to the motion signal in which the controller controls the transmitter (44) to transmit the tire transmitter signal only after the controller determines that the tire condition signal indicates that the sensed tire condition is either above or below a first predetermined threshold. The controller (74) also controls the tire condition sensor (78, 84, 88) to sense the tire condition of the associated vehicle tire (20) during each of the operating modes.
Abstract:
A Bicycle Pump Fitting attached to a Clear Vinyl Hose. On the other end is a Completion Gauge with a Ball Foot Air Chuck with a clip. The Ball Foot Air Chuck holds the air pressure until the tool is installed. The clip holds the Ball Foot Air Chuck firmly on the tire stem during the air transfer process. The Completion Gauge will indicate that the air pressure transfer process is complete when the needle appears inside the Clear Vinyl Hose.
Abstract:
A tire/wheel assembly abnormality determining apparatus and a method thereof determines whether there is an abnormality in a tire/wheel assembly in a vehicle provided with the tire/wheel assembly constituted by fixing a tire, that is filled with compressed air, to a wheel. The apparatus includes a tire pressure sensor which directly detects an air pressure in the tire as a tire pressure and which outputs a tire pressure signal indicative of the detected tire pressure; and a determining device which determines whether there is a deformation state abnormality, that is an abnormality regarding a deformation state of the tire, in the tire/wheel assembly, based on frequency characteristics of the output tire pressure signal. Therefore, it is possible to accurately determine whether there is an abnormality in the tire/wheel assembly in the vehicle, regardless of fluctuation of a wheel speed.
Abstract:
A mounting structure for a transmitter of a tire condition monitoring apparatus that enables the transmitter to be attached to wheels having different cross sectional shapes. A wheel has a drop center and a rim formed integrally with the drop center at a predetermined angle relative to the drop center. The mounting structure includes a valve stem arranged on the rim and having a basal end. A casing houses the transmitter. A coupling fixture couples the casing and the valve stem. The coupling fixture includes a coupler coupled to the basal end of the valve stem, an anchor for anchoring the casing, and a connection for connecting the coupler and the anchor so that the coupling fixture is resilient. The angle between the coupler and the anchor is greater than a predetermined angle before the coupling fixture couples the casing and the valve stem.
Abstract:
There is provided a tire-rim assembly capable of stably running over a distance required even in the dropping of the tire internal pressure after the injuring of the tire without sacrificing rolling resistance and ride comfort in the usual running before the injuring of the tire, wherein a great number of substantially sphere-shaped particles each consisting of a continuous phase of a resin and a closed cell(s) and having a mean bulk specific gravity of not more than 0.1 are disposed in an interior defined by assembling a hollow doughnut-shaped tire onto an approved rim, and a pressure at 25null C. in the interior of the tire is not less than 150 kPa as an absolute pressure.
Abstract:
A tire internal pressure monitor ECU is switched between a monitoring mode where internal pressures of tires of a vehicle are monitored, and a registering mode where ID codes assigned to sensor units provided in the tires are registered. In the registering mode, when receiving the ID code from the sensor unit, the ECU registers the ID code along with instructing an auxiliary device to operate a predetermined conduct that can be seen from an outside of the vehicle. Namely, the predetermined conduct of the auxiliary device notifies completion of registering the ID code, which results in enhancing operation efficiency in registering of the ID code.
