摘要： An apparatus for processing the skin side of a tubular fur, including a mandrel on which the tubular fur can be drawn from a first part of the mandrel towards a second part of the mandrel so that the skin side of the fur faces outwards and the fur side of the fur faces inwards towards the mandrel, one or more scraper units, each scraping unit having at least one scraper means configured for scraping the skin side when the fur is arranged on the mandrel, and a cover including a compartment and an outlet, where the cover is configured for enclosing at least a part of the mandrel and at least one of the scraper means in the compartment during operation, where the outlet is arranged in a bottom part of the cover, the bottom part being arranged below the at least one scraper means, and where the cover has walls with inner surfaces configured for leading material removed from the skin side by means of one or more of the one or more scraper means towards the bottom part.

摘要： A method of handling skins or hides having a central line of increased thickness along the back of the skin or hide between a tail end portion and a front end portion comprises displacing the skin or hide to a workstation by means of two clamping pincers on a handling apparatus, in accordance with the following sequence of steps: the skin or hide is engaged at its tail and front portions by the pincers; the pincers are moved away from each other in order to put the skin or hide under tension along the backline of the hide; the skin or hide is raised so as to allow it to fold along the backline while it hangs freely; the skin or hide is then displaced to a workstation while hanging in the folded position; the folded skin or hide is then laid out flat under tension on a reception plane at the workstation; and the pincers are released from the tail and front portions of the skin or hide.

摘要： In flow presses for the production and processing of leather, especially in sammying (drying) machines, the need exists for a preliminary effective stretching and widening of the leather to prevent the forming of creases. In a flow press with a pair of pressing rolls (W1, W2), there is arranged for this purpose in the zone of the entrance wedge (EZ) of the rolls, a stretching device (ARV) acting transverse to the flow direction (P1) of the leather, which is adjustable between an open position (OST) permitting introduction of the leather, and a working position (AST) with stretching tools (RW1, RW2) acting on the leather. This permits a perfect introduction of the leather, with visual control and with possibilities of correction. The slight distance attainable between the end section (EA) of the stretching tool and the roll pressing zone (PRZ), especially with non-rotating plate-form stretching tools, favors the suppression of creases in the pressing process.

摘要： A mechanized power assisted apparatus for flattening and stretching wet tanned hides on a smooth flat plate preparatory to drying in the course of leather manufacture. The apparatus comprises support means holding a squeegee-type slicker element for positioning closely adjacent to a hide-carrying plate. The slicker element has a smooth straight edge which is rotatable in a plane parallel to the surface of the plate. The slicker support means is associated with a powered travel means for moving the support means in a plane parallel to and spaced from the surface of the hide-carrying plate and over a hide supported on that plate. Powered thrust means are associated with the slicker element for moving the element into and out of contact with the wet hide and for exerting force on the slicker element. Spaced apart control means are provided for actuating the power assist means for manipulating the slicker element over the surface of a hide in simulation of manual hide application.
