    摘要: An image-measuring apparatus without axial alignment is configured to measure a workpiece. The image-measuring apparatus without axial alignment includes a rotating plate, a lighting unit, an image capturing unit, a central control unit and a rotary driving member. The workpiece is disposed on the rotating plate. The lighting unit is configured to generate a light beam to illuminate the workpiece to form a first workpiece blocking shadow area on the image capturing unit. The rotating plate and the workpiece are rotated through a rotational angle by the central control unit to form a second workpiece blocking shadow area on the image capturing unit. The central control unit calculates the first workpiece blocking shadow area and the second workpiece blocking shadow area to generate an axial position of the workpiece. There is a distance between an axial position of the rotating plate and the axial position of the workpiece.

    摘要: A stove top cover for a stove is described herein. The stove top cover can include a top surface and a bottom surface. The stove top can further include a cutout extending through the top surface and the bottom surface having a periphery that defines the cutout. Still further, the stove top cover can include a flange formed on the top surface that extends around the periphery of the cutout and projects outwardly from the top surface to a height and extends inwardly a distance toward an edge of a burner of the stove top. A method for providing the sizing and manufacture of the stove top cover provides for its customization to an individual user's stove top. The stove top cover included cutout extending around the periphery of the stove top, and forms individual orifices sized and positioned to accommodate each individual burner of the stove top.

One or more movable portions of a mannequin are adjusted, thereby causing the mannequin to change from a first size to a second size. Signals are received from one or more sensors of the mannequin, and pressure readings applied to at least one location on an exterior surface of the mannequin are determined from the signals.     摘要: An example non-destructive method for estimating a length of a member, which may be embedded, is described herein. The method can include impacting the member, recording a respective signal at each of a plurality of sensors attached to the member, and transforming the respective signals into a frequency domain. The respective signals can include dispersive waves generated by the impact. The method can also include determining an effective wavenumber of dispersive wave propagation based on the respective frequency-domain signals, determining theoretical wavenumber of dispersive wave propagation using a dispersion relation for the member, and estimating the length of the member based on the relationship between the effective wavenumber of dispersive wave propagation and theoretical wavenumber of dispersive wave propagation.
