    摘要: A sample probe 18 for a gas sampling system obtains a highly accurate hydrocarbon gas sample from a pipeline, particularly when ambient conditions are below the hydrocarbon dew point. A compartment 20 houses a heater 44 and a pump 30, with the pump being mounted on an upper body 50 of probe 18 by suitable nuts 56, 58. A lower probe section 48 having coarse threads 76 is mounted within pipeline 10 and has a diameter D1 of at least greater than 80% of the diameter D of internally threaded opening 14 of pipeline 10. Probe 18 has large diameter upper body 50 externally threaded for mounting compartment 20 thereon. Probe 18 is preferably formed of an anodized aluminum material having a high thermal conductivity in excess of 80 BTU/Ft Hr/Ft2/° F.

    摘要: A pipette for repeatedly aspirating and dispensing a predetermined quantity of liquid. The pipette includes a hollow body having first and second extremities. The second extremity is adapted to removably receive the pipette tip. An ejector is carried by the body and has a first extremity disposed within the first extremity of the housing and a second extremity movable vertically about the second extremity of the housing. The ejector is movable from a first position for permitting the pipette tip to be securely mounted on the second extremity of the housing and a second position for pushing the pipette tip off of the second extremity of the housing. A spring is carried by the housing and is compressed so as to store energy in the spring. A locking mechanism is additionally carried by the housing for retaining the spring in the compressed position. The locking mechanism is releaseable so that the ejector is driven by the spring to the second position to move the pipette tip distally on the second extremity of the housing.

    摘要: The apparatus makes it possible to change a desired sample volume—even during operation—in a simple manner without mechanical intervention, with any accumulation solids of a sample contained in a sample collecting vessel being avoided, so that a sample representative of the medium is obtained. The apparatus comprises a control unit which controls a pneumatic control gear and switches a pump by means of which the medium is drawn into a sample collecting vessel via a hose or tube used as a suction line. A detection unit incorporated in the suction line signals the presence of the medium to the control unit, which then controls the time period for taking the desired volume of the sample. The sample volume obtained is drained off into a sample container via a drain device.

    摘要: A sampling apparatus is adapted to obtain samples of fluid product of a type that tends to form a dead layer of product on inner walls of a process line. The apparatus has a sampler body having a bore that opens at a forward end of the body. A plunger in the bore has a sample obtaining recess intermediate its ends. The apparatus is coupled to the process line at an opening to the process line and has two motors. One motor reciprocates the sampler body between a first position where its forward end is retracted to the exterior of a flow stream of product in the process line that exists inwardly of the dead layer of product, and a second position where its forward end extends into the flow stream. The second motor operates, when the sampler body is in the second position, to reciprocate the plunger forward in the bore to project the plunger recess out of the bore and into the flow stream to obtain a sample of fluid product in the recess and then rearward to retract the plunger recess into the bore to a sample delivery point where the sample is removed from the recess and collected. When in the first position, the sampler body is out of the flow stream and does not interfere with or create turbulence in a flow stream or impede passage past the sampler of any scarifying plugs that may be passed through the process line to remove built up product.
