The binding body is forwardly biased by a retraction spring; the assembly further comprises a ski brake comprising at least one projection pivotable around a horizontal substantially transverse axis. An elastic member biases the projection to the active position to activate the brake, and a control element de-activates the brake. The elastic member moves together with the binding.

摘要： A backcountry ski binding having a boot-receiving frame (10) and a climbing attachment (40) is detachably mountable (24, 26) upon a ski and convertible between a plurality of climbing modes (L) and a stored mode (C). The frame includes adjustable rear support means (28) that permit free heel operation at a plurality of boot positions to accommodate slopes of differing grade. The climbing attachment is pivotal about a main mounting pin and has an articulated plate (42) and arm (44) so that a climbing scoop (46) can be moved between not only the plurality of different climbing positions, but also between those positions and the stored position. Locking means (56, 58) are included to releasably and selectively lock the scoop in these positions.

摘要： A running-surface plastics coating for skis comprises a running surface forming a climbing aid and provided with a multiplicity of tongues (4) which are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the ski and terminate towards the rear end of the ski in pointed ends capable of being bent upwards to provide a means for reducing the sliding resistance in the running direction without impairing the climbing aid. 摘要： A traction device for skis is provided. An arm having a loop is pivotally mountable on a ski immediately ahead of a ski harness. The end of the arm distal from its pivot mount has a loop adapted for engagement with the point and basket of a ski pole. 摘要： A snow ski has a longitudinal body defining a sole for gliding on the snow. The ski includes: (a) a platform slidably coupled to the body for sliding longitudinally relative to the body; and (b) a gripping element slidably and rotatably coupled to the body and rotatably coupled to the platform. The gripping element extends downward to penetrate the snow in response to the platform being slid rearward relative to the body. 摘要： The present invention is a skin cleat device for increasing grip while ski touring. The skin cleat is configured to be attached around a ski by a skier without disengaging the ski boot from the skis and can be removed and re-attached depending on the needs of the user. The skin cleat is a strap-like device that includes two end sections and a studded central section there-between. The central section is intended to be placed underneath the base of the ski and skin such that the studs extend into the snow. The two end sections can be attached together by a coupling to form a continuous structure around the waist of the ski. Using the coupling, the structure can be tightened around the ski securing it in place and preventing the skin cleat from rotating around the ski or the studs from moving substantially when in use.
