摘要： A power tool that includes a motor coupled to a drive mechanism, and a removable and rechargeable battery pack coupled to the motor to selectively provide power signals to the motor. The power tool also includes a controller configured to monitor a plurality of conditions of the power tool, such as battery pack voltage, battery pack temperature, operational current, and the like. The controller is also configured to detect one or more events related to the plurality of conditions of the power tool. If the operational current of the power tool exceeds a first threshold value, a power signal duty cycle is reduced from a first duty cycle value to a second duty cycle value to limit the amount of torque the power tool is able to generate.

摘要： A cutting tool includes a fixed blade having a cutting surface and a movable blade having a cutting surface. The movable blade is rotatable between a receiving position in which the cutting surfaces are spaced and a cutting position in which an object disposed between the fixed and movable blades is cut by the cutting surfaces. A return spring member is connected to the movable blade. The spring member stores energy when the movable blade is rotated from the receiving position to the cutting position. The spring member returns the movable blade to the receiving position when the stored energy is released.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for severing a moving thin strip material across the width of the strip by providing a thin rigid cutting element and urging the cutting element to move rapidly across the path of travel of the strip material in a plane transverse to the plane of the strip material. The strip material is contacted about one side edge and the cutting wire continues to rapidly move across the strip width from a first edge to a second edge to sever the moving strip. The method and apparatus are useful for severing strip material being produced at up to 4000 feet per minute and is not dependent upon the gauge or ductility of the material.
