Abstract: A touch input device according to an embodiment comprises: a touch sensor including a plurality of driving electrodes, a plurality of receiving electrodes forming mutual capacitance with the plurality of driving electrodes, and a plurality of receiving dummy electrodes not forming mutual capacitance with the plurality of driving electrodes; and a touch detector including a plurality of receivers composed of a plurality of first terminals for receiving a plurality of first sensing signals, and a plurality of second terminals for receiving a plurality of second sensing signals. The touch detector detects a touch input of an object by subtracting at least one second sensing signal output through at least one second terminal from at least one first sensing signal output through at least one first terminal of at least one receiver.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a stylus pen including: a body; a conductive tip configured to be exposed from an inside of the body to an outside thereof; and a resonance circuit connected to the conductive tip to resonate an electrical signal transferred from the conductive tip. An inductor unit of the resonance circuit includes a ferrite core and a coil wound in multiple layers over at least a portion of the ferrite core. The ferrite core includes nickel, and the coil can be formed by a litz wire with adjacent winding layers that are wound to be inclined in a zigzag form.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a touch apparatus including: a touch panel configured to include a plurality of touch electrodes; a touch driver configured to apply a first driving signal to a first touch electrode of the touch electrodes during a first period, and a second driving signal to the touch electrodes during a second period subsequent to the first period; and a touch controller configured to determine a detection signal as a valid touch signal based on whether a signal strength of the detection signal received in response to the first driving signal exceeds a first threshold during the first period, wherein the detection signal include at least one of a first detection signal generated by a first touch object and a second detection signal generated by a second touch object, and the first detection signal is determined as a valid touch signal, while the first threshold is set to filter the second detection signal.

Abstract: A touch input device capable of detecting a pressure of a touch on a touch surface may be provided. The touch input device includes: a display panel; a substrate disposed under the display panel; and a pressure sensing unit. The pressure sensing unit includes a pressure sensor and a reference pressure sensor. When a pressure is applied to the touch surface, the display panel is bent. Electrical characteristics detected at the pressure sensor change by the bending of the display panel. A magnitude of the pressure applied to the touch surface is calculated based on a difference between a reference electrical characteristic calculated from electrical characteristics detected at the reference pressure sensor and the detected electrical characteristic calculated from the electrical characteristics detected at the pressure sensor.

Abstract: A terminal for checking a security request level of a fingerprint verification request is provided. The terminal includes a fingerprint recognition sensor configured to acquire a fingerprint image; and a controller configured to check a security request level of a fingerprint verification request when the fingerprint verification request is received, to determine an verification level depending on the security request level, and to perform fingerprint verification in a manner corresponding to the verification level by using the fingerprint image. The controller controls the fingerprint recognition sensor to acquire a fingerprint image of a first level when the security request level is less than or equal to the security request level of a previous verification request that has been completed before the fingerprint verification request, and an elapsed time from the previous verification request is within a threshold time.

The controller may be configured to detect a touch position, perhaps for example based on the touch detection signal. The controller may be configured to provide a second driving signal different from the first driving signal to the electrode pattern.
