Abstract: Systems and methods for providing fast forwarding recommendations based on the user's consumption history are disclosed. The consumption history includes data relating to attributes that were previously rewinded and watched and those that were skipped and forwarded. It also includes scores for attributes that were present and absent in a portion that was previously rewinded or forwarded. A score is assigned to the attributes and used for determining a consumption pattern. If the consumption pattern indicates that the user previously rewinded and watched the attribute, then a recommendation not to skip an upcoming portion that includes the attribute is provided. A graphical timeline that depicts the amount of time saved by skipping the portion of the media asset with the attribute is also provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for supplementing digital assistant queries and filtering results are disclosed. The methods activate a camera in response to detecting a voice query of a user. The camera captures, in multiple modes, video frames of a user's gestures and/or facial expressions made during utterance of the query and/or the user's environment and/or specific features in the environment present or occurring during utterance of the query. A portion of the query is classified as ambiguous and supplemental data relating to the voice query is requested to resolve the ambiguous portion. Supplemental data may comprise metadata associated with the gestures or facial expressions and/or specific features, actions, or activities during issuance of the query that are extracted from the captured frames. The supplemental data is processed to resolve the ambiguous portions of the query, and the digital assistant responds accordingly to the disambiguated query.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing user experience in accessing media of a certain content type by outputting the media on a nearby device that is better suited for access. For example, a media guidance application may determine that a user is accessing, on his/her smartphone, a digital page (e.g., a website, a newsfeed, etc.) that features embedded content (e.g., photos, movies, music, etc.). In response to determining that the user has navigated to an embedded content, such as a video clip, the media guidance application may determine a device in the vicinity of the user that is better suited than the user's smartphone for playback of the video clip. For example, a nearby smart television may have a larger screen, better sound output, and a better display resolution than the smartphone. As a result, the media guidance application may cause the smart television to output the video clip.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for modifying messages transmitted between a first computing device and a second computing device based on the determination of a context of messages transmitted between the first and second computing devices. Abstract: A system and method of providing enhanced content, for example, when a viewer may not match with a program in order to make a viewer comfortable and encourage the viewer to continue to consume the program. The system accesses a viewer profile and accesses content to provide for consumption. The system calculates a match score for the content based on the viewer profile and determines if the match score is below a predetermined threshold. If the match score is lower than the threshold, the system generates an enhanced program from the content based on viewer profile and provides the enhanced program for consumption. Enhanced content may include omitting scenes with violence, modifying dialogue with vulgarities, focusing on scenes with preferred actors or setting, adding external content, and other modifications.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for classifying, based on most recent information associated with recorded content, the recorded content to an appropriate deletion classifier. A media guidance application may receive information about an event that is associated with a recorded media asset. The media guidance application may determine, based on the event and a current deletion classifier associated with the recorded media asset, whether the current deletion classifier associated with the recorded media asset needs to be updated to a new deletion classifier. The media guidance application may make this determination by accessing a deletion classification database containing rules for classifying recorded media assets into a variety of deletion classifiers. Upon determining that the current deletion classifier associated with the recorded media asset needs to be updated to a new deletion classifier, the media guidance application may update the current deletion classifier to the new deletion classifier.
