    Abstract: An outdoor rated ingress protected connector assembly is formed by a mating connector and a first connector. A lock ring secures the mating connector and first connector together. An outer collar nut is displaceable to unlock the connector assembly to gain access to the internal components. The mating connector and first connector have a fiber optic connector secured therein, which form a transmission pathway when the connector assembly is formed.

    Abstract: A fiber optic adapter for connecting to a fiber optic connector includes an adapter housing having an interior. A fiber optic transceiver to be electrically connected to a printed circuit board (PCB) is disposed in the interior of the adapter housing. The fiber optic transceiver is arranged so that optical signals can be communicated between the fiber optic transceiver and the fiber optic connector when the fiber optic connector is attached to the adapter. A retainer is engaged with the fiber optic transceiver to retain the fiber optic transceiver when the fiber optic connector is attached or detached from the adapter.

    Abstract: An in-line dust shutter formed as part an adapter. A hinged dust shutter assembly is secured to an adapter wall. A shutter plate covers an opening formed at either end of the adapter to prevent debris from entering the adapter and distorting the light signal between opposing fiber optic connectors. The shutter plate extends at angle alpha from a rotational axis. The shutter plate is biased closed by a bias spring place about a pin of the rotational axis.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector.     Abstract: A multiple fiber push-on (MPO) optical connector is provided having a ferrule configured to house multiple optical fibers and including a stepped portion extending from at least one pair of opposing exterior surfaces of the ferrule. A one-piece housing-backpost is provided having a distal end in a connection direction and a proximal end in a cable direction. The one-piece housing-backpost is configured to receive a ferrule spring and the ferrule from the distal end. The housing-backpost includes at least one resiliently-deformable ferrule-retaining protrusion extending from a sidewall to engage the corresponding stepped portion of the ferrule. The resiliently-deformable ferrule-retaining protrusion is configured to deform towards the housing-backpost interior sidewall as the ferrule is inserted from the distal end and to extend outward against the stepped portion of the ferrule when the ferrule is seated in the housing-backpost to maintain the ferrule in the housing-backpost.

    Abstract: A small form factor optical connector holding two or more LC-type optical ferrules is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the two or more LC-type optical ferrules, a pair a resilient latches and corresponding recess for the resilient latch, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating receptacle, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. The outer body and the inner front body are configured such that four LC-type optical ferrules are accommodated in a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver footprint or eight LC-type optical ferrules are accommodated in a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP) transceiver footprint. A mating receptacle (transceiver or adapter) includes a receptacle hook and a housing with an opening that accommodates the receptacle hook in a flexed position as the optical connector makes connection with the mating receptacle by introducing the receptacle hook into an optical receptacle hook recess.
