Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface with a first electronic message, where the first electronic message is associated with corresponding message time metadata. While displaying the first electronic message, the electronic device detects only a single contact on the touch-sensitive surface and detect a first movement of only the single contact. In response to detecting the first movement of only the single contact, display message time metadata for the first electronic message adjacent to the first electronic messages, wherein the message time metadata was not displayed immediately prior to detecting the first movement of the single contact.

Abstract: An electronic device may display a first lap time representation, and may move the first lap time representation in accordance with a first amount of elapsed time. While moving the first lap time representation, the electronic device may detect a lap input. In response to the lap input, the electronic device may cease movement of the first lap time representation, display a second lap time representation, and move the second lap time representation in accordance with a second amount of elapsed time. A relative positioning of the first lap time representation and the second lap time representation may correspond to a difference between a first lap time and a second lap time. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update the timescales of lap time representation(s) in accordance with a rotational input. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update a timer duration setting in accordance with a rotational input.

Abstract: A device with touch-sensitive display is configured to display, on the touch-sensitive display a first user interface. The device is further configured to, while displaying the first user interface, detect a swipe gesture. In response to detecting the swipe gesture, when the swipe gesture starts at a first edge of the touch-sensitive display and moves away from the first edge, the device displays an application switching user interface that includes representations of a plurality of user interfaces that correspond to open applications, the plurality of user interfaces including a second user interface that is different from the first user interface. When the swipe gesture starts at a second edge of the touch-sensitive display, different from the first edge of the touch-sensitive display, and moves away from the second edge, the device displays a notification interface that includes recently received notifications.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a fingerprint sensor displays a fingerprint enrollment interface and detects, on the fingerprint sensor, a plurality of finger gestures performed with a finger. The device collects fingerprint information from the plurality of finger gestures performed with the finger. After collecting the fingerprint information, the device determines whether the collected fingerprint information is sufficient to enroll a fingerprint of the finger. When the collected fingerprint information for the finger is sufficient to enroll the fingerprint of the finger, the device enrolls the fingerprint of the finger with the device. When the collected fingerprint information for the finger is not sufficient to enroll the fingerprint of the finger, the device displays a message in the fingerprint enrollment interface prompting a user to perform one or more additional finger gestures on the fingerprint sensor with the finger.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to display windows. In more than one embodiments of the invention, a window is closed automatically (e.g., after a timer expires, or when a condition or criterion is met, or a system input is received) without user input. In some examples, the window is translucent so that the portion of another window, when present, is visible under the window. In some examples, the image of the window is faded out before the window is closed and destroyed. In some examples, the window does not close in response to any input from a user input device. In some examples, the window is repositioned (or hidden) automatically when another translucent window is displayed. The degree of translucency, the speed for fading out, the discrete levels of translucency for fading out, the time to expire, and/or other parameters for controlling the display of the window may be set by the user or adjusted by the system (or application software programs) automatically according to system conditions or other criteria.

Abstract: An electronic device displays at least one device initialization screen. After displaying the at least one device initialization screen, the electronic device displays an instruction screen instructing a user to pair the external device with the electronic device. The electronic device sends first data via wireless communication, displays a pattern comprising identifying information of the electronic device, and receives second data indicating that the external device and the electronic device have been paired using the first data. After receiving the second data, the electronic device provides an aural or haptic indication that the electronic device and the external device have been paired. In some examples, the electronic device is a wearable electronic device and the external device is a smartphone. Pairing the electronic device and the external device may allow the devices to exchange information and operate interactively with one another.

Abstract: A method is performed at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display and one or more cameras. While device displays a first camera interface, which includes a first camera preview and a first capture affordance for capturing photos with the one or more cameras, the device detects an input that includes movement of a contact across the first camera preview on the touch-sensitive display. In response, the device replaces display of the first camera interface with a second camera interface, which includes a second camera preview and a second capture affordance for initiating capture of video content with the one or more cameras.
