Abstract:
A package assembly primarily designed to contain and at the same time display an illuminated product such as decorative lights, etc. wherein a conventional electric plug used to interconnect the illuminated product to a conventional power source is positioned on the interior of the package assembly immediately adjacent and in communicating relation to an access opening in one wall of the package structure wherein the access opening is dimensioned and configured to allow removal of the plug for connection to a wall outlet thereby allowing testing of the illuminated product without removing it from the package.
Abstract:
Blister pack panel for face powder compact display in which the purchaser checks the color of the face powder to determine the suitability of that color for the personal preferance of the purchaser by opening the compact, the blister pack being of a special novel construction to fit over the latching projection and around the hinge opposite the latching projection so that the blister retains the compact securely in tamper proof relation to the solid supporting panel used to display the case. Heretofore a pressure sensitive label which was dyed to match the color of the powder in the compact was affixed to the panel next to the printed description of the shade of the powder. These dyed pressure sensitive labels become soiled during handling by the purchasers and change color. Also the dyed labels may change color because of exposure to strong lighting as for example in a high intensity spot light which may be used for a cosmetic display case. This problem facing the purchaser of finding that color on the card label does not match the color when the purchase has been made and the contents inspected is overcome by the present invention because the transparent blister of special ovoid shape and construction which is modified specifically for the clasp and hinge parts of the compact provide a much more economical display of the face powder compact than displays of the prior art which rely upon pressure sensitive labels or cut out panel formations.
Abstract:
The brush package is formed of a cardboard sheet folded into a generally rectangular shape having first and second aligned opened ends. A bristle brush having bristles held by an outer band attached to a handle is mounted within the package. The cardboard at one end, has at least one folded over tab portion defining a stop edge which mates with an edge of said band to retain the brush in the cardboard when shipped and displayed.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A display package for cutting utensils has a backing piece and a transparent cover of relatively stiff material. A portion of the cover is raised above the backing piece within which the cutting utensil is contained. A testing hole is provided in the raised portion of the cover to allow the cutting edge of the material to be tested for sharpness or keenness.
Abstract:
A display package for lipstick or other colored products includes a backing sheet, a transparent cover sheet forming a raised blister, and a chamber within the blister. The lipstick tube, having a projecting portion of the pomade, is disposed in the chamber and is engaged by a portion of the blister to restrain the tube from movement within the chamber. An opaque tube cover is axially slidable by gravitational movement within the chamber. When the display package is oriented in normal display position, the cover gravitationally moves through the chamber to a position where the projecting pomade portion is covered. When the display package is inverted, the cover gravitationally moves through the chamber to a position where the projecting pomade portion is exposed and is visually observable through the blister.
Abstract:
A display package for a cosmetic product such as lipstick or nail lacquer which product is composed of two parts, one being a handled cosmetic applicator such as a brush or lipstick rod, and the second being a part with an open-ended cavity such as a cap or a bottle, to receive the applicator and ensheathe the same with the handle outside the second part. The two parts are detachably interengageable when the applicator is ensheathed in the second part. The second part has a shoulder near its open end, but otherwise is of substantially uniform configuration. The cosmetic product is secured to a flat panel by a pocket which is shaped to receive the second part. The packet can have an open top through which the handle of the first part extends or it may completely enclose both the first and second parts. The panel can have a hole therein aligned with the second part so that the second part could be directly gripped and forced toward a wall of the pocket. The open top of the pocket has an inwardly directed flange which forms an interference fit with the cosmetic product so as to captively hold the cosmetic product stationary while permitting removal of the first part through manipulation of the handle. Other embodiments are also shown herein.
