摘要: Disclosed are computer peripheral interface devices (such as computer mice) that include a wheel member configured to rotate around an axis in a plurality of modes, where each of the plurality of modes corresponds to a respective unique friction profile. The plurality of operation modes includes a freewheel mode and at least two additional modes. The at least two additional modes includes two or more different ratchet modes, two or more different constant friction modes, or at least one constant friction mode and at least one ratchet mode. The interface device also includes an actuator assembly configured to set the wheel member to each of the plurality of operation modes.

摘要: An apparatus including a removable modular insert disposed within a housing of a host device, the housing including one or more magnets, and one or more conductive contacts disposed on the removable modular insert to magnetically couple to the one or more magnets and secure the modular insert within the housing of the host device, and electrically couple the modular insert to the host device. A conductive coil can be coupled to the modular insert to electromagnetically receive power from a base device having a surface, where the host device moves and operates along the surface of the base device. The apparatus can include a communication device and a processor to control the communication device for communication between the modular insert and the host device, and control operation of the conductive coil. The communication device further controls the electromagnetic coupling between the modular insert and the base device.

摘要: A four piece lens assembly with a low profile is provided. The lens assembly has a sufficient FOV for personal use and has a small Chief Ray Angle (CRA) allowing the use of a small CRA image sensor. A static lens system is disclosed and includes, in one embodiment, a lens assembly housing with an aperture stop followed by a lens assembly with first-fourth lens elements. The fourth lens element is the closest lens element to an imaging sensor. The four lens elements are all plastic. The first, second and fourth lens elements have a positive focal length. The third lens element has a negative focal length. Both lens surfaces of each of the lens elements are aspherical.

摘要: A coupling system for peripheral devices may include a housing and a shaft assembly. An end of the shaft assembly is threaded and couples to and uncouples from a peripheral device by relative rotational movement between the peripheral device and the shaft assembly. An inner cavity of the housing and another end of the shaft assembly defines a limited range of rotational motion between first and second rotational positions. Rotating the shaft assembly to the first rotational position allows for the peripheral device to be rotated relative to both the shaft assembly and the housing to couple the peripheral device to the housing via the shaft assembly. With the peripheral device coupled to the shaft assembly, relative rotational motion between the peripheral device and the housing is allowed between the first rotational position and the second rotational position without rotating the peripheral device relative to the shaft assembly.
