Abstract: A hydrogen fuel system for a work machine is disclosed. The hydrogen fuel system comprises a hydrogen storage tank containing hydrogen, the hydrogen being at least one of a liquid hydrogen or a gaseous hydrogen; a hydrogen power unit configured to consume the hydrogen from the hydrogen storage tank, the hydrogen power unit including at least one of a plurality of fuel cells or a hydrogen combustion engine; a boil-off pressure relief valve in fluid communication with the hydrogen storage tank; and a tank pressure sensor in communication with the boil-off pressure relief valve. The boil-off pressure relief valve is configured to, when the tank pressure sensor detects a pressure inside the hydrogen storage tank that exceeds a boil-off pressure threshold, vent the gaseous hydrogen to a boil-off fuel line fluidly connected to the hydrogen power unit.

Abstract: A battery lock out system for a work machine, having a manual service disconnect configured to be attached to a power module of a battery pack for providing electrical power to the work machine, a service plug configured to be attached to the power module once the manual service disconnect has been removed from the power module, and a locking bracket sliding between a first position and a second position, the locking bracket including a first tab configured to lock a cover of the battery pack while the locking bracket is in the first position, and a second tab configured to lock the service plug onto the power module while the locking bracket is in the second position and the manual service disconnect has been replaced with the service plug.

Abstract: An electric powertrain for a machine includes an electric power source. The powertrain further includes an implement pump for powering a work implement and an implement pump electric motor. An electric traction motor is operably coupled to a traction device. An electronic controller stores a plurality of rimpull torque curves. The electronic controller is configured to determine if the electric power source is in a power limited condition and upon determining that the electric power source is in a power limited condition act to derate a rimpull torque of the traction device from a first rimpull torque curve of the plurality of rimpull torque curves to a lower second rimpull torque curve of the plurality of rimpull torque curves, wherein the selection of the second rimpull torque curve is based on a power usage by the implement pump electric motor.

Abstract: A dual fuel engine system includes an engine, and a fuel system including a pressurized fuel reservoir, a first fuel pump, and a plurality of second fuel pumps each having an actuating fluid inlet fluidly connected to at least one of the first fuel pump or the pressurized fuel reservoir. The plurality of second fuel pumps may intensify or de-intensify a pressure of a second fuel relative to a pressure of the first fuel used to actuate the second fuel pumps so as to obtain an increased flow rate of the second fuel. Related apparatus and methodology is also disclosed.

Abstract: A work machine cooling system for cooling primary power source cooling fluid for a primary power source may include a primary power source cooling unit and a second power source cooling unit fluidly connected so that primary power source cooling fluid flows from the primary power source through the primary and secondary power source cooling units is discharged back to the primary power source. The work machine cooling system may further include a primary cooling fan disposed proximate the primary fuel cell cooling unit to discharge airflow onto the primary fuel cell cooling unit, and a secondary cooling fan disposed proximate the secondary fuel cell cooling unit to discharge airflow onto the secondary fuel cell cooling unit. The secondary cooling fan may be turned off until the primary cooling fluid temperature is greater than a transient event threshold temperature indicating the occurrence of a transient thermal event.

A diameter of the one or more passages in fluid communication with one of the plurality of cylinder jackets differs from diameters of the one or more passages in fluid communication with others of the plurality of cylinder jackets.

Abstract: A filter assembly for a fluid system such as an oil system for an engine includes a first filter component having a first threaded peripheral surface and a plurality of posts projecting from a radially extending surface. The filter assembly further includes a second filter component including a second threaded peripheral surface and a plurality of detent clips matched to the plurality of posts in number and in angular spacing around the center axis. At least one of, the plurality of posts or the plurality of detent clips, is deformable in a radial direction via relative rotation of the detent clips together about the center axis to click-lock engage the detent clips with the posts.

Abstract: A quick coupler and methods of coupling and decoupling a quick coupler and work tool are disclosed. The quick coupler includes a frame, cylinder, primary blocking member, secondary blocking member, biasing member, and controller. The method of coupling includes activating an AUTOMATIC LOCKING state, automatically locking a second tool pin within a hook, a first tool pin entering a notch, and activating a LOCKED state. The method of decoupling includes activating the AUTOMATIC LOCKING state, resting the work tool on a surface, activating an UNLOCKED state, and separating the quick coupler and work tool. Advantageously, the quick coupler can automatically lock the second tool pin without actuation of the cylinder.
