    摘要: Controlling an airflow passing into an electronic component cabinet includes passing an airflow into the electronic component cabinet through a first passage having a first filter, sensing a parameter of the airflow passing through the first passage, detecting a change in the parameter of the first airflow associated with a flow restriction at the first filter, and shifting a first flap from a first position allowing the airflow to pass unrestricted through the first passage, to a second position, wherein the first flap creates a flow restriction for the airflow passing though the first passage, and triggers an actuation mechanism based on the change in parameter of the first airflow. Controlling the airflow further includes opening a second flap that exposes a second passage having a second filter based on the triggering of the switch, and passing an airflow into the electronic component cabinet through the second passage.

    摘要: An apparatus and system are disclosed for securing a heat sink against a central processing unit. The present invention teaches a heat sink securement device having a vertical retention arm that substantially encompasses a heat sink in a vertical direction, a horizontal retention arm that substantially encompasses a heat sink in a horizontal direction, and a tension arm coupled to the vertical and horizontal retention arms and pivotally coupled to the frame, the tension arm simultaneously adjusts a tension on the vertical retention arm and the horizontal retention arm in response to moving the tension arm. In certain embodiments, the retention arms are coupled to the tension arm via coupling member that is offset from pivot point of the tension arm. In other embodiments, the coupling member may include a different coupling member for the vertical and horizontal retention arms, both coupling members offset from the pivot point.

The pen retention bracket includes four surfaces that define a rectangular cavity having four sides and a top opening and a bottom opening. A first protrusion and a second protrusion are disposed upon a first surface and extend from the first surface toward a second surface, a distance between the first protrusion and the second protrusion greater than a height of the pen tether retracting reel. The first surface is responsive to an application of force to the pen tether retracting reel to elastically deform and increase a depth between the second surface and at least one of the first protrusion and the second protrusion, thereby releasing the pen tether retracting reel via either of the top opening and the bottom opening.

The anvil includes an angled retention surface having an external diameter greater than the internal dimension of the elastic retainer and less than the diameter of the orifice.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention include an apparatus and a method for locking a cam lever, which positions a second card as inserted into a connector on a first card, and activating the second card with a coupling member. In one embodiment, the second card is inserted between a pair of guides secured to the first card into a connector on the first card. A hinged cam lever on either a guide or the second card positions the second card. A coupling member on the cam lever can be moved to lock the cam lever in place and engage a switch on the second card to activate the second card. When removal of the second card is desired, the coupling member on the cam lever can be moved to unlock the cam lever and disengage the switch on the second card to deactivate the second card.

In a first embodiment, the retention module may include a frame having an external member and an internal member enclosed within the external member. Furthermore, the internal member is adaptable to seat a heat sink. Additionally, a lever is coupled to the external member, wherein the lever includes a cam. When the lever engages in a first position, the cam pushes the internal member forward to engage the heat sink to a surface. Through the use of the retention module described above, a retention module may be used as a simple method to load and lock heat sinks of varying sizes within a heat dissipation assembly.

    摘要: A hand tightened locking pin using a unique internal cam configuration to lock the pin assembly. The pin assembly includes a sleeve and a locking cam unit. The sleeve includes anti-rotation protrusions that match a keyhole in a first metal plate to prevent rotation of the sleeve. The pin assembly is inserted through the keyhole of the first metal plate and a circular hole in a second metal plate that lies on the first metal plate. When the locking cam unit, which is inside the sleeve, is rotated, a lower portion of the sleeve expands, locking the first and metal plates together. The cam is locked in position by concave shaped ends that mate over bulges in the lower portion of the sleeve. A locked/unlocked indicator on top of the pin assembly indicates when the concave shaped ends are mated with the bulges.
