Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program wherein the method comprises detecting that a designated item satisfies a predetermined context; and providing tactile indication that the designated item satisfies the predetermined context.
Abstract:
An apparatus presents a plurality of information items to a user. Each information item corresponds to at least on piece of information that is marked by at least one tag in a single source script. The apparatus enables a user to select presented information items. The apparatus further enables a use of a plurality of pieces of information from the source script marked by tags, which correspond to information items selected by a user, for presentation in a single graphical representation to the user. Another apparatus automatically obtains a plurality of pieces of information marked by a plurality of tags included in a single source script that is available at a further apparatus, and presents the plurality of pieces of information in a single graphical representation to a user. The information may represent a plurality of locations, times or an area. The graphical representation may comprise a map or a timeline. The source script may be that of a Web page. A user may be enabled to perform a location based search or a time based search.
Abstract:
Methods, computer program products and apparatus are provided that enable a user interface or user interface element (e.g., an icon) to communicate additional contextual information for an associated application or file through attributes of the user interface or user interface element. For example, a simulated shadow of an icon or a simulated image projected on an icon can communicate contextual information for the application or file corresponding to the icon. One exemplary method includes: displaying an icon associated with an application or file; and displaying in association with the icon a simulated shadow having contextual information associated with the application or file.
Abstract:
An apparatus including: a body configured for resilient contortion from a neutral equilibrium shape by a user, the body having an exterior surface that resiliently contorts in response to user provision of a force, wherein the body defines, proximal to a perimeter of a face of the body, at least a first portion of an exterior surface of the apparatus and a second portion of an exterior surface of the apparatus that opposes the first portion across the face, wherein user provision of a force in a first direction results in a first contortion of the exterior surface and user provision of a force in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, results in a second contortion of the exterior surface; and electronic circuitry configured to provide consistent meaning across a plurality of different software applications for user provision of a force to the exterior surface.
Abstract:
An approach is provided for presenting media segments. A media segment manager receives an input, from a device, for specifying a plurality of segments. Each of the plurality of segments corresponds to one or more media streams and is associated with a respective duration of time. The media segment manager then causes, at least in part, presentation of the plurality of segments in a predetermined order based on the input and the respective durations of time.

Abstract:
A method includes recognizing that load time is occurring in a computing device, calculating the load time, and selecting one or more messages to be presented during the load time.
Abstract:
A method for a user interface is disclosed. The method comprises providing a plurality of items on in a display view; determining a theme comprising a fashion indicator; and providing a visual effect associated with said fashion indicator in said display view. A user interface, an apparatus, a computer program, and a system for implementing the method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method, computer program product and device for generating a dream-like multimedia presentation, which can be displayed on a mobile terminal, or other digital device, based at least in part on contextual information relating to the mobile terminal and the mobile terminal user. The presentation provides the user with a snapshot of information that appears to be more important to the user at a given period of time, as well as information that may have been forgotten by the user over time, and does so in a manner that is somehow reflective of the user's presumed mood.
Abstract:
A computing device having a graphical interface system for navigating computer programs is provided. The system includes a navigation display showing an organizational model of a computer program that is formed by concentric rings representing levels of options within the computer program. At least one of the rings is an active ring, which is emphasized to show selectable options. The options represent either categories of other options or features of the computer program. The options may be represented by icons or words. A method for navigating a computer program using the organizational model includes using a graphical user interface to select options on an active ring. Selecting a category option activates an inner ring that displays options related to the previously selected option on the next higher ring. The user continues navigating through inner rings until a feature option is selected, which invokes a feature of the computer program.
