    摘要: An earphone has a housing divided by a driver unit into front and back cavities with a sound generation opening at the front thereof, a duct extending from the back cavity of the housing and having a length substantially larger than its diameter, and a casing attached to the housing and communicating with the back cavity through a pipe having a length longer than its diameter, with the resonant frequency determined by the casing and pipe being made near to the resonant frequency determined by the equivalent mass of the vibration system, that is, the diaphragm and voice coil of the driver unit, and by the compliance of the back cavity, so that the lowest resonant frequency of the earphone can be lowered while the peak that would otherwise be formed in the frequency characteristic of the earphone by the resonance between the back cavity and mass of the vibration system can be supressed for improving the high frequency characteristic.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for measuring a gas pressure gradient in each of the upstream and downstream parts of a gas pipe line and detecting a leak in the gas pipe line in accordance with the pressure gradients. When a gas leak occurs, the gas pressure at the position of the leak is decreased and at least the pressure gradient upstream of this position is increased. When the difference between the upstream pressure gradient and the downstream pressure gradient is greater than a predetermined value, the occurrence of a gas leak is determined. Also, the occurrence of a gas leak is determined when each of the displacement of the upstream pressure gradient and the displacement of the downstream pressure gradient attains a predetermined relation.

In a sound path from a diaphragm of an electro-acoustic transducer inside a sound-isolating earphone to the eardrum passing through a cylindrical sound leading pipe via the external auditory canal, two independent paths for sound waves are provided in the sound leading pipe, and transfer of the sound with a specific frequency is suppressed by adjusting a difference in length of the paths, whereby the frequency characteristics of the sound passing through this sound path are improved.

    摘要: A leak detecting method and apparatus for a gas pipe line in which the inflow rate Qin or the outflow rate Qout is measured from instant to instant at each of all the inlet and outlet ports of the gas pipe line and the presence or absence of a gas leak is determined in accordance with the measured values. The measured inflow rates Qin and outflow rates Qout are respectively integrated over a given period of time and the occurrence of a gas leak is determined when the sum .SIGMA..intg.Qdt of the integrated values deviates from a predetermined value. On that occasion, in accordance with the data obtained by these calculations the relation between the integration time and the standard deviation of .intg.Qindt-.intg.Qoutdt/.intg.Qindt is calculated so that in accordance with the relation an integration time T corresponding to a rate of leakage to be detected is determined and the integration over time is performed from each of a plurality of time instants shifted from each other by an integral fraction of the integration time T whereby the above-mentioned determination is made each time the integration time T is reached.
