    摘要: New chemical compounds are derivatives of certain substituted 1,4-naphthoquinones in which the keto oxygens at the 4-positions have been replaced by certain cyanoalkoxycarbonylmethylene groups, and the keto oxygens at the 1-positions have been replaced by cyanoimino groups. The new compounds have the structure ##STR1## wherein: J is alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and R is normal alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The compounds are useful as electron-transport agents in electrophotographic elements.

    摘要: An electrographic luminescent amplification process is described which includes the steps of:a. forming a low amplitude differential voltage pattern on a photoconductor;b. developing the low amplitude differential voltage pattern with a luminescent toner to form a luminescent toner image;c. exciting the luminescent toner image to produce emitted radiation;d. exposing a photoconductor to the emitted radiation to produce a high amplitude differential voltage pattern on the photoconductor; ande. developing the high amplitude differential voltage pattern to produce a high density image.

    摘要: Photoconductive compositions comprising photoconductors and 1,4,5,8-naphthalene bis-dicarboximide sensitizing compounds are disclosed. Compositions and elements containing such compounds are sensitized to radiation below 400 nm. Embodiments are disclosed in which the photoconductor is an arylalkane leuco base. Such embodiments are advantageously nonsensitive to radiation above 400 nm and are also nonpersistent.
