Abstract:
The invention includes a method of detecting out-of-stock conditions for retail products, and for dynamically updating associated replenishment plans, sales forecasts, and event scripts for product stocking events such as turn stock products, promotional products, new product introductions and modular resets. The invention accesses RFID data associated with product stocking events for identifying product movements in a retail supply chain and within a retail store. The invention optionally accesses point-of-sale and perpetual inventory data for detecting out-of-stock conditions. The invention also includes a method for dynamically improving product layout and optimized planograms based on out-of-stock velocity detection.
Abstract:
A method for streaming audio data in a network, the audio data having a sequence of samples, includes encoding the sequence of samples into a plurality of coded base bitstreams, generating a plurality of enhancement streams, and transmitting the coded base bitstreams and the enhancement bitstreams to a receiver for decoding. Each of the enhancement bitstreams is generated from one of a plurality of non-overlapping portions of the sequence of samples.

Each of the plurality of blade members includes a base portion and a tip portion. The turbomachine also includes a honeycomb seal member mounted to the inner surface of the housing adjacent the rotary member. The honeycomb seal member includes a contoured surface having formed therein a deformation zone. The deformation zone includes an inlet zone and an outlet zone. The inlet zone is spaced a first distance from the tip portion of each of the plurality of blade members and the outlet zone is spaced a second distance from the tip portion of each of the plurality of blade members. The second distance being substantially equal to or less than the first distance.
Abstract:
The SAW sensor in a stainless steel button package having a diaphragm and mounted on a threaded port. Package can hermetically seal a sensor and RFID-antenna assemblies from media. Sensor diaphragm is exposable to media. Sensor and RFID antennas communicate electrically with SAW sensor and RFID device, respectively, for sensor measurements and identification. Antennas receive RF interrogation signal from a nearby interrogator/transceiver and send reflected RF signals back to the interrogator unit containing sensor measurement and sensor ID. TRF signal excites a SAW resonator inside the sensor and causes the SAW to resonate wherein resonant frequency changes with pressure and temperature applied to the sensor. Antennas could be printed circuit board antennas, helical antennas, loop antennas, any other commercially available off-the-shelf antennas or a combination of these.
Abstract:
A wireless and batteryless pressure sensor apparatus comprises of a SAW sensor and an antenna mounted on a printed circuit board. Optionally, and RFID tag in used in combination with the SAW sensor. A sensor antenna and a RFID antenna can be located on the printed circuit board such that the antennas communicate electrically with the sensor and the RFID device. The sensor can be interrogated utilizing a radio frequency, which is used to excite a SAW crystal inside the sensor. The interrogation signal causes the SAW to resonate wherein a resonant frequency changes with the pressure and temperature that is applied to the sensor. An interrogator can receive a return (echo) signal representing a change in SAW sensor properties (e.g., diaphragm change). A printed circuit board can be mounted on a stainless steel port and overpackaged with standard processes for hermetically sealing the sensor, or sensor and RFID device with at least one antenna.
Abstract:
Automated system, methods, algorithms, procedures, and computer software programs and computer program products for improving and optimizing the performance of messaging campaigns, particularly for marketing campaigns in which advertisements or other messages are distributed over an interactive measurable medium such as the Internet. Analysis and Optimization method and procedure, an automated system, and system and method that exploit the underlying multi-attribute structure, as well as other features and advantages. Optimization procedures allocate the ad alternatives or other message to the customer population to optimize business objectives such as maximizing the number of positive responses received. Procedure for generating message allocations that improve and attempt to optimize the campaign performance. Methods ensure that campaign constraints are not violated. Methods can be implemented on a computer that is programmed to retrieve message performance information and to generate recommended message allocations for each stage in a multi-stage messaging campaign to achieve messaging goals.
Abstract:
A turbine bucket having an airfoil is disclosed. The airfoil may include a pressure side and a suction side extending between a leading edge and a trailing edge. In addition, the airfoil may include a tip. The tip may include a tip floor and a tip wall extending outwardly from the tip floor. The tip wall may include an inner surface defining an inner perimeter of the tip wall. Moreover, a plurality of notches may be defined by the inner surface around at least a portion of the inner perimeter.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus and method are provided for testing a secondary servo control circuit in a redundant control configuration. A first circuit is configured to receive a control signal and to control an attribute of an actuator based on the control signal using a first control input of the actuator. A second circuit is configured to test operation of an actuator circuit using a test signal. The actuator circuit includes at least part of the second circuit and a second control input of the actuator. The test signal is selected to avoid causing independent motion of the actuator. The actuator could be a dual coil servo valve, and the test signal could be a current (such as a DC current, an AC current, or a pulsed current) having a magnitude less than a bias current of the actuator.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel thermophilic ethanol producing yeast strain, a microorganism, Kluyveromyces sp. IIPE453 MTCC 5314, classified as yeast, which exhibits growth and sugar fermentation at higher temperature range between 37° C. to 55° C. The novel yeast strain is capable of utilizing wide range of mono and di-saccharide sugars belongs to hexose and pentose carbohydrate family individually or in a mixture that obtained from hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass, such as sugarcane bagasse or starch based biomass such as cassava, potato, corn etc. for its growth and produce ethanol by fermentation process at temperature range 40° C. to 55° C. It also relates to a novel process for the preparation of ethanol by Kluyveromyces species IIPE453. Thus application of thermophilic yeast strain Kluyveromyces sp. IIPE453 MTCC 5314 has wide scope for industrial production of bioethanol from low cost renewable biomass as alternate feedstock to molasses.
