    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a semiconductor nanostructure. The semiconductor nanostructure includes a substrate and at least one ridge. The substrate includes a first crystal plane and a second crystal plane perpendicular to the first crystal plane. The at least one ridge extends from the first crystal plane along a crystallographic orientation of the second crystal plane. A width of cross section at a position of half the height of the at least one ridge is less than 17 nm. The semiconductor nanostructure is a patterned structure which can lead to generate a quantum confinement effect, such that the impurity scattering phenomenon is reduced.

    Abstract: An antenna diversity system having a non-interrupt function is provided. The antenna diversity system includes: a plurality of antennas, a plurality of radio frequency (RF) circuits, and a signal processing unit. The RF circuits are respectively coupled to the antennas, wherein each RF circuit is utilized for operating in one of a plurality of channels. The signal processing unit is coupled to the RF circuits, and utilized for determining whether a signal quality value of at least one of the antennas lower than a threshold to generate a determining result, and determining whether to change the channel of at least one of the RF circuits according to the determining result, so as to make at least two of the RF circuits operating in a same channel of the channels.

    Abstract: Event systems and methods are provided through which applications can manage input/output operations (“I/O”) and inter-processor communications. An event system in conjunction with fast I/O is operable to discover, handle and distribute events. The system and method disclosed can be applied to combinations that include event-driven models and event-polling models. In some embodiments, I/O sources and application sources direct events and messages to the same destination queue. In some embodiments, the system and methods include configurable event distribution and event filtering mechanisms operable to effect and direct event distribution for multiple event types using multiple methods.
