Abstract: A server may assign human personality traits to inanimate objects. In an example, a server may effectuate operations that include obtaining information about an object over a period; comparing the information to usage factors, interaction factors, or environmental factors that are linked to thresholds for a personality; based on the comparing, assigning the personality to the object; and based on the personality of the object, assigning an avatar to the object.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies directed to optical networking with hybrid optical vortices are disclosed herein. Embodiments can include a system that is configured to perform operations for optical networking with hybrid optical vortices. The system can include a hybrid optical switch that can communicatively couple with another network device via one or more nanofiber communication paths. The operations can include receiving, from a first nanofiber communication path, a hybrid optical vortex that carries an internet protocol packet. The operations also can include decoupling the hybrid optical vortex to extract an optical vortex that encapsulates the internet protocol packet. The operations also can include switching the internet protocol packet to a subsequent communication path based on the optical vortex that encapsulates the internet protocol packet.

Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and devices for tracking an accessing of a media content via a watermark embedded by a network node are disclosed. For example, a processing system including at least one processor may receive, from a first network node, a first copy of a watermark that is embedded by the first network node in a media content. The processing system may further receive a notification comprising a second copy of the watermark and an identification of a first endpoint device, the notification associated with an accessing of the media content by the first endpoint device, and record the accessing of the media content by the first endpoint device.

Abstract: Services for trust conveyances of entities can be provided and managed. In connection with a transaction between first and second devices, a trust management component (TMC) can indicate trust levels of entities associated with the devices with regard to the transaction and/or an action attempted by an entity. With regard to an action attempted by the first entity, the trust level of the first entity can be evaluated to determine whether it is high enough to allow the action to proceed or to have the second entity respond to the action accordingly. If it is not high enough, the second entity, using the second device, can request a trust conveyance from the first entity via the TMC. The TMC can adjust the respective trust levels based on the outcome(s) of the action(s) of the respective entities with regard to executing the transaction.

Abstract: A system may include a transaction history controller to store, in a distributed blockchain database, a first chain including a primary head node for a first subscriber to a social media history map service and multiple blocks each representing an online transaction for the first subscriber, and a second chain including a follower head node, linked to the primary head node, for a second subscriber and multiple blocks each representing an online transaction for the second subscriber. The transaction history controller may receive data representing a first online transaction for the second subscriber, format the data for the distributed blockchain database, store the formatted data as a new block in the second chain, receive a request to generate a trend report for a cluster of subscribers that includes the first and second subscribers, and generate the trend report dependent on the blocks in the first and second chains.

Abstract: Multi-agent input coordination can be used to for acoustic collaboration of multiple listening agents deployed in smart devices on a premises, improving the accuracy of identifying requests and specifying where that request should be honored, improving quality of detection, and providing better understanding of user commands and user intent throughout the premises. A processor or processors such as those in a smart speaker can identify audio requests received through at least two agents in a network and determine at which of the agents to actively process a selected audio request. The identification can make use of techniques such as location context and secondary trait analysis. The audio request can include simultaneous audio requests received through at least two agents, differing audio requests received from different requesters, or both.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, determining a twist number based on digital input data, wherein the twist number corresponds to a predetermined orbital angular momentum of a photon. Orbital angular momentum modulators adapted to change orbital angular momenta of an input signal are adjusted according to the twist number. Application of the input signal to the orbital angular momentum modulators applies orbital angular momenta to the input signal resulting in a twisted light signal having a predetermined number of twists based on the predetermined orbital angular momentum. Other embodiments are disclosed.
