Abstract: Semantic analysis to resolve ambiguous user input data with respect to a request for data includes identifying tokens based on the text string, identifying a tables in a database, wherein a token indicates a column from a table and a token indicates a column from another table, identifying candidate join paths for joining tables, obtaining respective candidate results using the candidate join paths, outputting combined candidate results including values from the respective candidate results, obtaining second user input data indicating a selected value, identifying the request for data as unambiguous and identifying a selected join path based on the selected value, and, in response to identifying the request for data as unambiguous, outputting data responsive to the request for data using the selected join path.

Abstract: Systems and methods for control of application actions using a modification trigger to visually modify an electronic document are disclosed. A computing device, such as a mobile computing device having a touchscreen display, can display an electronic document having a first portion and a second portion. Initially upon displaying the electronic document, the computing device displays the first portion and the second portion may lie out of view, not displayed. A user can swipe along a scroll direction, causing the second portion to be displayed. The second portion can include or otherwise be associated with a modification trigger. Upon receiving a gesture on the second portion, the modification trigger performs actions, including, for example, subscribing to a series of electronic documents and minimizing the visual display of the electronic document.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining to perform an action of a query using a trained natural language model of a natural language understanding (NLU) system are disclosed herein. A text string corresponding to a prescribed action includes at least a content entity is received. A determination is made as to whether the text string corresponds to an audio input of a first group. In response to determining the text string corresponds to an audio input of a first group, a determination is made as to whether the text string includes an obsequious expression. In response to determining the text string corresponds to an audio input of a first group and in response to determining the text string includes an obsequious expression, a determination is made to perform the prescribed action. In response to determining the text string corresponds to an audio input of a first group and in response to determining the text string does not include the obsequious expression, a determination is made to not perform the prescribed action.

Abstract: A computer system obtains a data model that encodes a data source as a tree of logical tables. Each logical table includes respective data fields of the data source. For each data field in the logical tables, the system automatically assigns a semantic role to the data field based on a concept obtained from a concept graph, a data type of the data field, and data values of the data field. The system determines hierarchies between the data field and other data fields in the data source based on their respective semantic roles. The system validates the data field based on the assigned semantic role and the determined hierarchies. The system displays transformations to clean the data field based on the assigned semantic role. The system transforms data values for the data field according to a user input and updates the logical tables according to the transforming.

Abstract: Methods and systems for translating a natural language user query into a graph database query are described. In some instances, the methods may comprise receiving a first input from a user comprising a natural language query regarding data in a graph database; processing the natural language query using a named entity recognition (NER) machine learning model to extract named entities from the natural language query and tag them according to an entity type; processing the tagged named entities using a semantic similarity algorithm to identify corresponding nodes and edges, and their associated properties, in the graph database; processing the natural language query using an intent classification machine learning model to determine a user intent for the natural language query; and applying a user intent-based template to the identified nodes and edges to formulate a graph database query that corresponds to the natural language query.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for transferring dialog sessions between devices using deep links. The dialog sessions can correspond to interactions, mediated by an automated assistant, between a user and a third party application. During the dialog session, a user can request that the dialog session be transferred to a different device, for example, to interact with the third party application through a different modality. In response, the automated assistant and/or the third party application can generate a link that can be transferred to the transferee device to allow the transferee device to seamlessly take over the dialog session. In this way, computational resources and electrical power can be preserved by not requiring a recipient device to re-process natural language inputs previously provided during the dialog session.
