摘要： An organic EL display includes a substrate on which pixel areas are arranged in a matrix; first and second electrodes; functional material layers each including a carrier transport layer and a non-carrier transport layer; and a barrier to define the pixel areas. The barrier includes communication recesses arranged to extend the non-carrier transport layers from respective first pixel areas to respective second pixel areas adjacent to each other in the pixel areas defined by the barrier.
