Abstract:
A computing resource service provider receives a request from a customer to establish a physical connection between a provider network device and a customer network device in a colocation center. Once the connection has been established, the customer may transmit cryptographic authentication information, through the physical connection, to the provider network device. The provider network device transmits this information to an authentication service operated by the computing resource service provider to verify the authenticity of the information. If the information is authentic, the authentication service may re-configure the provider network device to allow the customer to access one or more services provided by the computing resource service provider. The authentication service may transmit cryptographic authentication information to the customer to verify the identity of the computing resource service provider.
Abstract:
A provider network may collect diagnostic metrics for virtual connections implemented over physical connections to resources in the provider network. Diagnostic metric collection may be enabled via an interface for the provider network. In response to receiving a request to enable diagnostic metric collection for a particular virtual connection, a diagnostic agent within the provider network may begin sending diagnostic request messages to a client-side endpoint via the particular virtual connection. Responses to the request messages may be received back at the diagnostic agent. The diagnostic responses may then be used to generate diagnostic metrics for the particular virtual connection, which may be provided through the provider network interface.
Abstract:
A direct network connection is established between a customer network and a service provider network. Computing resources are then provisioned in the service provider network in an automated fashion. The network connection between the service provider network and the customer network is also configured such that data can be transmitted from one of the computing resources to another one of the computing resources by way of at least a portion of the customer network. Test data is then transmitted from one computing resource to another computing resource by way of at least a portion of the customer network. One or more test results are then generated based upon characteristics of the transmission of the test data from one resource to the other resource by way of the customer network. The resources may be de-provisioned in an automated fashion following completion of the testing.
