摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums are provided for video coding with multi-direction intra prediction (MDIP). In one method, a decoder determines a blending parameter for the MDIP based a size of a coding unit. In another method, the decoder may determine a size of each coding block, and in response to determining that the size of the coding block is smaller than or equal to a first preset threshold, the decoder may determine that the MDIP mode is disabled for the coding block.

摘要: Methods and devices are provided for decoding a video block in GPM. The method includes: partitioning the video block into first and second geometric partitions; receiving a first GPM with a motion vector refinement (GPM-MVR) enable flag for the first geometric partition and receiving a second GPM-MVR enable flag for the second geometric partition; receiving a joint template matching (TM) enable flag for the first and second geometric partition that jointly indicates whether a uni-directional motion of the first partition is refined by TM and whether a uni-directional motion of the second partition is refined by the TM; receiving a first merge GPM index for the first geometric partition and a second merge GPM index for the second geometric partition; constructing a uni-directional MV candidate list of the GPM; and generating a uni-directional MV for the first geometric partition and a uni-directional MV for the second geometric partition.

摘要: A computer system acquires a video bitstream. The video bitstream includes data associated with multiple encoded pictures. Each encoded picture includes one or more coding units (CUs). While decoding a current CU of a picture in the video bitstream, the current CU having a plurality of reference subblocks located in one or more reference pictures, in accordance with a determination that the plurality of reference subblocks satisfy a first set of predefined conditions for enabling a subblock-based temporal motion vector prediction (SbTMVP) mode, the computer system retrieves, from the video bitstream, syntax elements associated with the SbTMVP mode. The computer system then decodes the current CU using the retrieved syntax elements associated with the SbTMVP mode.

摘要: A method for decoding a video block in GPM includes: partitioning the video block into two geometric partitions; constructing a uni-directional motion victor (MV) candidate list by adding regular merge candidates; in response to determining that the candidate list is not full, constructing a first updated candidate list by adding additional uni-directional MVs derived from bi-prediction MVs of a regular merge candidate list to the candidate list; in response to determining that the first updated candidate list is not full, constructing a second updated candidate list by adding pairwise average candidates to the first updated candidate list; in response to determining that the second updated candidate list is not full, periodically adding zero uni-directional MVs to the second updated candidate list until a maximum length is reached; and respectively generating a uni-directional MV for each geometric partition.

The method comprises: determining a first rate-distortion (RD) cost for a block using a first classifier, wherein the first classifier having a first category number in a first value range, and wherein the first RD cost is the least among RD costs associated with classifiers having a category number in the first value range; determining a second RD cost for the block using a second classifier, wherein the second classifier having a second category number in a second value range, and wherein the second RD cost is the least among RD costs associated with classifiers having a category number in the second value range; and applying the first classifier as a classifier for the CCSAO process in response to determining the first RD cost is less than the second RD cost.

摘要: Implementations of the disclosure provide a video decoding apparatus and method for transform coefficient sign prediction on a video decoder side. The method includes: receiving a bitstream including a sequence of sign signaling bits; determining a sign prediction area in a transform block of a video frame from a video for performing the sign prediction for the transform coefficients of the transform block; generating a plurality of candidate hypotheses for a set of candidate transform coefficients associated with the sign prediction area of the transform block; selecting a hypothesis from the plurality of candidate hypotheses as a set of predicted signs for the set of candidate transform coefficients based on a cost function; and estimating original signs for the set of candidate transform coefficients based on the set of predicted signs and the sequence of sign signaling bits.

摘要: Implementations of the disclosure provide a video decoding apparatus and method for transform coefficient sign prediction on a video decoder side. The method may include selecting a set of candidate transform coefficients from dequantized transform coefficients. The method may include applying a template-based hypothesis generation scheme to select a hypothesis from a plurality of candidate hypotheses for the set of candidate transform coefficients. The method may include determining a combination of sign candidates associated with the selected hypothesis to be a set of predicted signs for the set of candidate transform coefficients. The method may include estimating original signs for the set of candidate transform coefficients based on the set of predicted signs and a sequence of sign signaling bits received from a video encoder. The method may include updating the dequantized transform coefficients based on the estimated original signs for the set of candidate transform coefficients.
