    Abstract: An in-ear wearable that can include an electro-acoustic transducer; a housing supporting the electro-acoustic transducer such that the housing and the electro-acoustic transducer together defining an acoustic volume, a feedback microphone disposed within the acoustic volume to receive the acoustic energy, the feedback microphone including a microphone port, the feedback microphone transducing acoustic energy received at the microphone port into a feedback microphone signal; and a port defined within the housing, the port extending from a first opening to a second opening, wherein the port acoustically couples the acoustic volume to a space outside the housing such that outside acoustic energy from the space outside the housing enters the first acoustic volume through a path that does not pass through the second acoustic volume, wherein the first opening does not extend beyond a first plane tangent to a point of the microphone port nearest to acoustic exit port and orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the housing.

    Abstract: The technology described in this document can be embodied in a method that includes receiving one or more electronic files comprising information on structural features of a portion of an ear of a user, generating an electronic representation of the eartip or a cast based on a portion of the information on the structural features of the portion of the ear, and producing the eartip based on the electronic representation. The eartip includes an outlet, and a sealing structure disposed around an exterior of the outlet, wherein a first end of the sealing structure is attached to the outlet, and a second, opposite end of the sealing structure is physically separated from the exterior of the outlet. Generating the electronic representation includes configuring one or more structural parameters of the outlet or the sealing structure in accordance with the structural features of the portion of the ear.

    Abstract: An earphone includes an earphone assembly and first and second electro-acoustic transducers. The earphone assembly includes an earphone body with an inner surface, an acoustic opening and a cavity defined inside the body by the inner surface and the acoustic opening. The earphone body further includes an acoustic impedance branch, such as a waveguide, that reduces a magnitude of a resonance at a first resonance frequency for an occluded ear canal defined by the cavity of the earphone assembly and an ear canal of a user when the earphone is at least partially inserted into the ear canal. The first electro-acoustic transducer is disposed at the inner surface of the earphone body and is configured to generate a first acoustic signal. The second electro-acoustic transducer is disposed along a length of the acoustic impedance branch and is configured to generate a second acoustic signal.

    Abstract: Audio systems and methods are provided that include an acoustic driver and an optical light source, each coupled to a head-worn structure. The acoustic driver is configured to convert an audio signal into an acoustic signal in proximity to an ear of the user. The optical light source is configured to direct optical energy toward an eye of the user. A user interface coupled to the light source is configured to control at least one of a color selection, a luminance, or duration of the optical energy.
