Abstract:
An apparatus for checking diametral dimensions comprises a resilient protection element, with a substantially tubular shape, for protecting an internal arm-set by preventing any foreign matter, like chips, from entering inside. In order to obtain a protection element that occupies little space and is particularly resistant to wear, blows, chemical etching etc., the element, substantially cylindrical, is made of a lamina of metal--preferably steel for springs, or nickel, or chromium--, or other materials with similar characteristics. Two feelers are placed at diametrically opposite points of the cylindrical element and as a consequence of the lamina flexions move in a diametral direction. The displacement of the feelers is transmitted to a position transducer. The invention mainly applies to plug gauges used in transfer lines for checking small diameter holes.
Abstract:
A probe for checking linear dimensions of mechanical parts comprises a support, a movable arm carrying a feeler adapted for contacting the part to be checked and an integral member coupled to the movable arm and the support. The member includes a first portion fixed to the movable arm a second portion fixed to the support and an intermediate portion having two sections with reduced thickness which define two axes of mutual rotation of the first and second portion. An electrical circuit closed under rest conditions comprises two pairs of electrical contacts which are opened in consequence of displacements of the movable arm along opposite directions or of an axial displacement of the arm.
Abstract:
A ring gauge for checking external diametral dimensions comprising an arm-set essentially consisting of an integral member including two arc-shaped arms, two resiliently deformable portions adapted to define fulcrums for the rotation of the arms and an intermediate portion coupled to a support. Two feelers are adjustably fixed to the arms, approximately at intermediate points of their longitudinal development. The elements of a transducer are fixed at the free ends of the arms.
Abstract:
Plug gauge for checking the diameter of a bore, including two movable arms with relevant feelers and a protective body defining two holes for the passage of the feelers. A sealing gasket seals the space between the holes of the protective body and the feelers, preventing the entry of foreign matter, such as chips and coolants, into the protective body.
Abstract:
A plug comparator for checking the diameter of holes of mechanical parts comprising a support, a movable measurement unit and a protection casing. The movable measurement unit comprises two movable arms bearing respective feeler elements which come into contact with the part to be checked.A position transducer detects the position of the movable arms and is connected by an electric cord to an electric supply and indication group. The casing has a lower base with a frustoconical seat for the fitted housing of a closure plate. The closure plate has a cut in diametral direction which subdivides it into two adjacent portions connected by a third portion which is elastically yieldable so as to permit fitting the closure plate in the frustoconical seat.
Abstract:
A probe for checking linear dimensions comprising an arm movable along two opposite directions with respect to a support, a pair of electrical contacts fixed with respect to the support and a pair of flexible laminae having first ends connected to the movable arm and carrying at second ends a pair of movable electrical contacts, which--in rest conditions--are closed against a relevant one of the fixed contacts. An element fixed to the movable arm is adapted to cooperate with two surfaces coupled to the laminae next to the movable contacts, for causing, upon displacements of the movable arm from a rest position, release of either of the movable contacts from the corresponding fixed contact.
Abstract:
Manual plug comparator for verifying inside diameters of mechanical parts comprising a perforated support plate, a first member of substantially U shape fastened to the plate and a second member having a base fastened to the first member, two elastically yieldable sections and two arms which are movable due to the deformations of the elastically yieldable sections. The two arms bear the elements of a position transducer and, at their free ends respective feelers adapted to touch the part to be checked.
