Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for shredding sheet-shaped material, preferably for shredding stacked sheets of paper. In addition, the invention relates to a device for performing said method.According to the method according to the invention, a stack of paper is placed onto a support, the sheets are grasped individually from the stack and, whilst realizing a sheet loop, are guided one after another through a through-opening in the support to a cutting system, and are shredded in the cutting system, wherein, when the loops are formed, the sheets are merely deformed elastically and consequently reversibly such that by realizing a free end each sheet loop is opened again before it reaches the cutting system, and is cut up, unfolded, into regular particles over its entire length.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a shredder for cutting up data storage media, for example sheet-like materials (paper, stacks of paper, etc.), CD-ROMs, DVDs, floppy disks or articles of that kind, the material feed of which is assigned a switching device for at least automatically starting its cutting tool when materials to be shredded are being fed, in particular an office shredder whose feed opening of the material feed, which leads to the cutting tool, is assigned at least two signal-emitting sensors which are arranged at a distance from one another and are operatively connected to a control unit by means of circuitry.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a collection container for a paper shredder, the container being removably arranged in an interior that is open to one side and located below a cutting mechanism in the housing of the paper shredder or a similar device. The invention is characterized in that a front wall of the collection container is associated with a profiled front part and is connected to the same in at least some sections.
Abstract:
A document shredder with a motor, a cutting unit, and a motor control, wherein the motor control may start, stop and reverse the motor. The motor control may limit the maximally allowed load of the motor to a predetermined load limit value. In case the motor reaches the maximally allowed load limit value, the load limit value may be increased for a predetermined time, either manually or automatically. In this way a short overload does not lead to a paper jam and the shredder does not have to be reversed, which may cause a paper mess in the workplace. The motor may be a direct current motor and/or a series motor, so that the load limit value may be defined by a maximally allowable motor current.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a door for a paper shredder, for closing at least one interior that is open to one side and location below a cutting mechanism in the housing of the paper shredder or a similar device, comprising at least one viewing window and hinges for fastening the door to the housing, the door being composed of at least two profiled parts.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an attachment for paper shredders for receiving and feeding printed matter, in particular, crumpled paper, as is found in wastepaper baskets and the like, as well as a method for filling a paper shredder by using the aforementioned attachment, wherein the paper shredder comprises a housing of a cabinet-like base and an optionally removable upper housing part, together with a cutting assembly arranged in the upper area of the housing, comprising cutting rollers and stripper bars as well as a correlated drive device, wherein above the cutting assembly a feed shaft for so-called crumpled paper is provided and the attachment is arranged above this feed shaft fixedly or optionally removably, wherein the attachment together with a covered, perforated upper area of the upper housing part forms a receiving chamber for so-called crumpled paper, and wherein this receiving chamber is in communication with the feed shaft, and it is especially provided that the attachment (11) has an integrated closure unit (20) which comprises movable or mobile parts, with which the fill opening (17) of the attachment (11) and the transition area between the receiving chamber and the feed shaft (10) can be alternatingly opened and closed.
Abstract:
A device for the delayed disconnection or switching-off of the drive of cutting mechanisms of paper shredders, wherein the switching-on process of the cutting mechanisms is automatically triggered predominantly by the insertion of the materials to be shredded into the feed shaft. At least one of the gear stages between the drive motor and the pair of cutting rollers is provided with a spiral or helical gear unit, wherein at least one of the gear wheels of the gear unit is mounted so as to be axially movable in the direction of its axis, and wherein a switching element or limit switch connected to the motor control is arranged in the range of the axial distance of movement of the at least one gear wheel.
Abstract:
A waste press with an ejection device in which at least one lifting plate is arranged on or in a bottom floor of a shaft formed by a press housing and at least one pull rod of the ejection device connected in an articulated manner to the lifting plate is arranged in the press area of the shaft on or in a rear wall. In addition, a coupling member is provided for at least temporarily connecting the pull rod and the press plate. The coupling member which temporarily transmits the movement of the pressing plate to the lifting plate of the ejection device is constructed as a connecting unit arranged on the outside of the rear wall of the press housing, wherein the connecting unit is controlled by mechanically acting guide arranged on the press housing and forming a part of the press housing, and wherein the connecting unit protrudes through a cutout formed in the rear wall and is forcibly pivotable in and out and acts temporarily on the pressing plate. In addition, the connecting unit is permanently connected in an articulated manner to the upper end of the pull rod. An adjusting device which can be actuated through the front door acts on the guide of the connecting unit.
Abstract:
A collecting container for collecting cut material of paper shredders or similar comminuting devices in which the cutting mechanism of the paper shredder rests with its housing on a box-like or frame-like base frame having a fixed bottom, and wherein the container can be pushed into the base frame from the front side of the paper shredder underneath the cutting mechanism housing. The container and the base frame have at the bottom thereof positively engageable guide elements.
Abstract:
A method of and a device for manually tying bales of cardboard, foils and similar used packaging materials produced in waste material presses predominantly of upright construction, i.e., with a vertically acting pressure ram. The method includes the steps of separating the free end of the binding wire from the point where it is secured to the front side of the base and pulling out a free length of wire slightly exceeding the length of the dimensions of bale height plus bale depth, grasping the binding wire extending in a vertical groove in the rear wall of the press by means of the hook-shaped free end of the pulling needle, pulling the loop of binding wire formed in this manner by means of the pulling needle through the groove in the bottom of the pressure ram into a position located in front of the finished bale, separating the wire loop in the pulled-out position, and swinging upwardly the remaining length of wire at the bottom and tying together the two free ends of the binding wire.
