Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a touch detecting function includes: a display area in which pixels each composed of a plurality of color areas are arranged in a matrix; a touch detection electrode including a first conductive thin wire extending in a first direction; and a dummy electrode including a plurality of second conductive thin wires; a drive electrode having capacitance for the touch detection electrode. Each of the second conductive thin wires includes a plurality of thin wire pieces extending in a direction different from the first direction and is divided by a slit between the thin wire pieces. A color area in the display area with which the slit overlaps has a different color from a color area in the display area with which a slit closest to the slit in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction overlaps.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels disposed in a matrix having a row-column configuration; and a light control panel configured to control light traveling from the display panel to a plurality of viewpoints such that the light varies from viewpoint to viewpoint. The pixels include a first pixel configured to output light in a first color and a second pixel configured to output light in a second color. Abstract: According to one embodiment, a light control device includes a first liquid crystal cell including a first liquid crystal layer, a second liquid crystal cell including a second liquid crystal layer, and a polarization conversion element. The first liquid crystal layer and the second liquid crystal layer each includes a first region which scatters a first polarized component and transmits a second polarized component and a second region which transmits the first polarized component and scatters the second polarized component. The polarization conversion element overlaps the first region and the second region, converts the first polarized component into the second polarized component, and converts the second polarized component into the first polarized component.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a liquid crystal display device includes: a first panel configured to display an image; a backlight configured to irradiate the first panel with light; and a second panel configured to limit an emission area of the light. The second panel includes a plurality of first electrodes whose potentials are individually controllable and a second electrode provided at a position opposite to the first electrodes with liquid crystal between the first and second electrodes. The first electrodes are arranged in a first direction along the second panel. The first electrodes are provided with such a potential that liquid crystal in a first state and liquid crystal in a second state alternately occur in the first direction. The first state is a state of blocking light. The second state is a state of transmitting light and changing refractive index distribution of light incident from the backlight side.
