Abstract:
A sailing boat model adapted for exhibition and for actual sailing on water includes a hull, a keel provided on a bottom portion of a midship of the hull to extend downward from the hull, a rudder provided on a bottom portion of a stern of the hull, a mast provided on the hull to extend upward from the hull, sails connected to the mast, the hull, the keel, the rudder, the mast and the sails having relative dimensions which simulate an actual sailing boat, and a balancing weight comprising an auxiliary keel including a keel body to be detachable attached to and extend downward from the bottom of the hull and a balancing mass provided on a lower end portion of the keel body for up-and-down movement relative to the keel body.
Abstract:
A microscope including a base frame, a stage provided on or over the base frame, and a file page placed on the stage and adapted for supporting a plurality of samples. An arm extends from the base frame up to a place over the stage. A magnifying optical system has an optical axis directed in a direction orthogonal to the stage, and an illuminating optical system is provided on the axis of the magnifying optical system at a place spaced from the stage.
Abstract:
The disclosed film viewer comprises a box with a bottom and an inclined top having a diffusion plate fitted therein, a light source disposed in the box, and a number of reflectors distributed on the inner surface of the box so as to reflect light beams from the light source in such a manner that uniform brightness is provided throughout the entire surface of the diffusion plate.
Abstract:
The disclosed sheet has a plurality of rectangular recesses in rows and columns for holding one transparency in each recess, and an inclined surface portion is formed substantially at the center of the bottom wall of each rectangular recess, so that reflection from the center of the bottom wall of the recess is angularly deviated from reflection from the center of the transparency held by the recess.
Abstract:
A disclosed projector includes a condenser lens, a plurality of light source means having different focal lengths and disposed around the condenser lens, a projecting lens with an adjustable distance from the condenser lens, and a stage glass located between the condenser and projecting lens for carrying a transparent positive thereon. Depending on the size of the transparent positive, one of the light source means is selected and the distance between the condenser and projecting lens is adjusted, so as to project an image of substantially fixed magnitude with a constant brightness regardless of said size of the transparent positive.
Abstract:
A film storing device is provided for storing a plurality of film assembly each including an image bearing film which is attached to a sheet-like mount. The film storing device comprises a pair of translucent sheet materials which are laid one over the other and bonded together along bonding areas including a plurality of longitudinally extending bonding areas and a plurality of transversely extending bonding areas defining a plurality of substantially rectangular storing sections to form a storing pocket in each of the storing sections between the pair of the translucent sheet materials. One of the sheet materials is formed with cutouts for forming an inlet to each storing pocket. A translucent image area is formed in each of the storing sections so that image on the film of the film assembly stored in the storing pocket can be visually observed through the pair of translucent sheet materials. A light transmission preventing region is formed around the image area by a coating, formed on at least one of the pair of translucent sheet materials, of a material which is capable of at least absorbing light passing through the translucent sheet materials. The pair of translucent sheet materials are bonded together in the bonding areas by a pattern of small discontinuous bonding points.
Abstract:
A yacht model or a full scale yacht includes a hull and a mast is provided on the hull to extend upward from the hull to support a main sail. A spinnaker is provided in front of the mast and the spinnaker is made of a plastic material and formed in a bulged configuration to possess an appearance of receiving wind. The spinnaker has a top portion connected to an upper portion of the mast in a manner which allows a turning movement of the spinnaker about the mast. Booms may be provided between the mast and a lower portion of the spinnaker for maintaining the lower portion of the spinnaker in a position spaced from the mast while allowing the turning movement. The lower portion of the spinnaker is connected at the opposite sides to a rear portion of the hull through strap like flexible connecting members.
Abstract:
Device for taking out sample pieces such as mount-attached slide films from a file sheet in which the sample pieces are held and received in an arranged fashion. Conventionally, such sample pieces needed to be taken out independently. A main body is provided with engaging pawls which engage with respective side walls of a plurality of the sample pieces. The plural sample pieces can simultaneously be taken out by moving the main body along the file sheet through a guide. Therefore, operation for taking out the sample pieces from the file sheet can greatly be facilitated.
Abstract:
Projector comprising a housing, a support frame formed with a carrying surface for carrying a flexible file sheet in which transparent materials are arranged in the form of a matrix longitudinally and transversely, light source device arranged in the housing at one side of the support frame, projecting lens device arranged at the other side of the support frame, the support frame being mounted on the housing for a reciprocating movement in a first direction, the support frame being provided with guide rails for movably carrying the file sheet in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The projector further comprises retaining device for retaining the file sheet onto the carrying surface. The retaining device is mounted on the support frame for slidable or rotatable movement relative to the file sheet so that the transparent material can be easily changed in the file sheet without focus readjustment.
