摘要： A terminal module is provided for use in an electrical connector. The module includes a plurality of conductive terminals arranged in a generally parallel side-by-side array. Each terminal includes a pair of opposite end sections. A pair of holding sections are located respectively adjacent to and inside the end sections. A central section is located between the holding sections. A dielectric plastic housing is overmolded about the holding sections leaving the opposite end sections exposed. The overmolded housing leaves a substantial portion of the central section exposed.

摘要： A connector assembly is provided for electrically connected closely-spaced circuit elements disposed on two printed circuit boards one of which has a mating edge and a surface with a linear array of contact pads adjacent the edge. An elongate dielectric housing has a cavity along its length for receiving the mating edge of the one printed circuit board. The housing is mountable to the other of the printed circuit boards. A plurality of thin contact members are mounted on the housing to form a closely-spaced linear terminal array. Each contact member is adapted to engage a contact pad when the one printed circuit board is inserted into the cavity. Each contact member has a mounting socket, and the housing has a mounting post positionable in the mounting socket to seat the contact member on the housing.
