摘要: A fingerprint sensor acquires fingerprint information of an object being in contact. A light source irradiates a light to the object from a lateral side of the fingerprint sensor. A measuring unit measures a diffusion pattern of the light passing through the object. A determining unit determines whether the object is a live finger or an artificial finger based on the diffusion pattern measured by the measuring unit.

摘要: The apparatus greatly reduces the registered data amount and the verification computation amount required for user verification, in comparison with the verification using image information itself, and also decreases the false verification rate. The apparatus divides a biometric information image into cells, and extracts minutia information as well as cell basic information from the individual cells. After comparison of direction information of the individual cells of the registered data with direction information of the individual cells of the to-be-verified data, thereby aligning the registered fingerprint image and the to-be-verified fingerprint image, the apparatus compares the minutia information of corresponding cells between the registered data and the to-be-verified data to make a match/non-match decision. Such an apparatus is applicable to systems that employ pattern matching type image verification to perform user verification utilizing biometric information such as fingerprints, palm prints, blood vessel patterns, iris patterns, and facial images.

摘要: ID information and organic information based on authentication demand which a service providing system received from a user terminal are inputted and stored into a use information storing unit. The ID information and organic information stored in an organic information input storing unit and an ID information input storing unit and the ID information and organic information which were inputted in the past in the use information storing unit are compared and collated by a comparing unit and a collating unit. A control unit discriminates an authentication demand by an illegal access person on the basis of results of the comparison and collation, notifies the service providing system of a discrimination result, and logs identity information of the illegal access person.

摘要: When an image representing biological information is input from a biological information input unit 10, such as a fingerprint sensor or the like, for obtaining an image representing biological information, such as a fingerprint or the like, statistical quantities, such as the mean value and standard deviation of the pixel values of the sampled image, are calculated. Then, using the statistical quantities, a region containing biological information is extracted, its sensitivity variations are eliminated and the effects of stains, such as a residual fingerprint is nullified, thereby generating a favorable biological image with high contrast.

An extraction unit extracts biometric information extracts biometric feature information from the input biometric information. An estimation unit estimates the matching precision of the extracted biometric feature information. A request unit requests an input of additional authentication information. An authentication information input unit inputs authentication information. A biometric feature information registration unit preliminarily stores registered biometric feature information. An authentication information registration unit preliminarily stores additional registered authentication information. A biometric feature information matching check unit has a matching check between the extracted biometric feature information and the registered biometric feature information. An authentication information matching check unit has a matching check between the input authentication information and the registered authentication information. A determination unit computes the matching precision by combining the matching check result about the biometric feature information with the matching check result about the additional authentication information, and determines based on the computation result whether or not the user is authenticated.

摘要: Every time to-be-verified biometric is input, the apparatus reflects the degree of fluctuation in the to-be-verified biometric information on narrowing down of registered feature information. After to-be-verified biometric information is input through the a biometric information input unit, the to-be-verified sub-feature information obtaining unit extracts two or more items of sub-feature information from the to-be-verified biometric information. Based on the pieces of to-be-verified sub-feature information, the to-be-verified sub-feature information assessing unit assesses an acquisition stability of each item of to-be-verified sub-feature information. According to the acquisition stability assessment, the registered feature information narrowing unit selects one or more pieces of registered feature information to be subjected to comparison/verification, thereby narrowing down the registered feature information. The apparatus applicable to 1-to-N verification using biometric information such fingerprints, palm prints, iris patterns, facial images, voice patterns, and blood vessel patterns.

摘要: An optical device for forming an image of an uneven surface, including a plane-parallel plate with a pair of parallel plane surfaces which is made of a transparent material having a refractive index larger than that of water and transparent to illuminating light. An uneven object (object having an uneven surface) is placed in close contact with one plane surface of the plane-parallel plate. A light source illuminates the uneven object through the plane-parallel plate. Among light rays scattered back into the plane-parallel plate by the uneven object and totally reflected at the other plane surface of the plane-parallel plate, only light that is totally reflected at an angle larger than the critical angle at the boundary between the plane-parallel plate and water is taken in by an image-forming device.
