摘要: The invention provides a printer, a printer head, and a method of producing the printer head. In particular, the invention is applied to a printer which makes use of a process in which ink drops are caused to flow out by heating using a heater, so that an orifice plate can be bonded by sufficiently bringing it into close contact with what it is to be bonded to. In the invention, by disposing first, second, and third wiring patterns below partitions of corresponding ink chambers, thickness-direction stepped portions are prevented from being formed at least at the partitions of the corresponding ink chambers.

摘要: A surface processing method for processing the surface of an insulating article in which an ion-implanted surface-modified layer is effectively formed on the article 2. In surface processing the article 2 of an insulating material, an electrically conductive thin metal film 50 is first formed on the article surface. A pulsed voltage containing a positive pulsed voltage and a negative pulsed voltage is applied to the article in a plasma containing ions to be implanted to implant ions in the article surface. This implants ions at right angles to the article surface to generate a surface-modified layer 51. There is no possibility of the article 2 being charged up due to application of a pulsed voltage.

摘要: A thermal transfer printer head for discharging ink by heating ink to transfer ink to a transfer member. A sub-wall is provided in a supply passage adjacent to a transfer portion to raise the liquid level of ink in the supply passage so as to prevent a breakpoint of ink in the supply passage. Thus, ink consumed in the transfer portion is spontaneously replenished to the transfer portion through the supply passage by a capillary phenomenon so that continuous supply of ink to the transfer portion is smoothly performed. The structure is formed such that ink in an excessively large quantity is not introduced into a portion above a heater provided for the transfer portion. As a result, even if the wettability of an ink holding structure formed above the heater is raised owning to adhesion of thermally degraded substances or the like, introduction of ink into the portion above the heater in a large quantity and rapid change in the quantity of transferred ink can be prevented.

摘要: In a liquid-ejecting method for ejecting liquid contained in a liquid chamber from a nozzle as a liquid droplet group, the ejection amount of each liquid droplet of the continuously ejected liquid-droplet group can be stabilized corresponding to a wide frequency band of a pulse signal. Also, when one pixel is formed with a plurality of liquid droplets using a head capable of deflecting the ejecting direction of the liquid droplet, the image quality is improved by reducing the landing positional displacement between plural liquid droplets for forming the one pixel.

摘要: A recording apparatus having recording head units constituted by such that recording materials are heated and are selectively transported to a printing medium in recording material transporting units, and a recording head formed by arraying the recording head units positioned opposite to each other. In each of the recording head units, the recording material transporting units include heating portions for heating the recording materials. A first electrode and a second electrode which are used to energize the heating portion are provided with respect to each of the heating portions in such a manner that the first electrode is located opposite to the second electrode. The first electrode is located between the heating portions. The second electrode is present at edge portions of the recording head units that are positioned opposite to each other.

摘要: A liquid ejecting head includes a plurality of arrays of liquid ejecting portions each having a nozzle for ejecting a droplet. The nozzle is arranged along each of an imaginary straight line R1 and an imaginary straight line R2 that are arranged in parallel at a distance δ from each other, and a distance, with respect to the direction of the imaginary straight lines R1 and R2, between two adjacent ones of the nozzles respectively arranged on the imaginary straight line R1 and the imaginary straight line R2 is set to a fixed value P. The liquid ejecting portions arrayed along at least one of the imaginary straight lines R1 and R2 are formed so that a liquid is ejected from each of the liquid ejecting portions while being deflected to the other imaginary straight line side.
