Abstract: A motion pen including a main body; a first sensing unit configured to sense a rotational movement of the main body; a second sensing unit including at least first and second sensors spaced apart from one another, and configured to sense a linear movement of the main body; and a controller configured to calculate a corrected rotational movement by using a ratio of first information received from the first sensor and second information received from the second sensor, and generate a character based on the linear movement and the corrected rotational movement.
