Abstract:
A flexible omnidirectionally reflective horse lead has a central portion, and mechanical attachment means to accommodate a bridal bit ring. The lead reflects an incoming light beam from a walker or horseback rider back in the direction from which it emanated, preventing dangerous encounters during dusk or nighttime hours. The omnidirectionally reflective elements may be incorporated in a horse harness, or in a halter suitable for horses roaming in a paddock or field. The reflective elements are created by surrounding a central braided rope of nylon or polyethylene fibers with a cylindrically braided reflective sleeve. The braided reflective sleeve is composed of narrow width reflective strips having a show surface with a flexible nylon retroreflective sheet sewn thereto. Reflectivity is achieved by thermally bonding corner cube or microsphere retroreflectors to a flexible polymeric sheet. Due to its braided construction, the reflective elements reflect light omnidirectionally over a large angle of acceptance, illuminating the horse harness or halter. An improved measure of safety is thereby provided for both the horse and the horseback rider.

Abstract:
A brush assembly simultaneously separately controllably releases a fluid and liquid solution directly onto a surface, such as a coat of an animal during grooming, or onto an inanimate surface such as an exterior surface of a land vehicle. The brush assembly includes a molded brush having a plurality of apertures for fluid delivery, preferably water, as well as a secondary aperture for delivery of a liquid solution, such as soap, shampoo, or other treatments. At least one base plate with grooming implementations, such as bristles or a sponge may be interchangeably attached to the brush base. An ergonomical handle is provided having a palm conforming top and finger indentation sides constructed to form an internal cavity. The ergonomical handle is ambidextrous in nature for interchangeable left and right handedness. A center cylinder is located within the ergonomical handle and includes a bladder which aligns with the mid portion of the brush base for fluid delivery from a flow regulator. A secondary cylinder is located within the internal cavity of the ergonomical handle and includes a secondary bladder which aligns with the secondary aperture of the brush base for liquid solution delivery in response to pressing a release button. A closure member is provided that can be moved to an open or closed configuration to release or prevent, respectively, dispensing of the liquid solution. The fluid and liquid solution are separately but contemporaneously delivered directly to the surface during grooming.
Abstract:
A flexible abrasion resistant omnidirectionally reflective, preferably retractable, flat belt pet leash/pet collar exhibits omnidirectional reflectivity. The omnidirectionally reflective flat belt pet leash reflects an incoming light beam back in the direction from which it emanated. The reflected light beam provides accurate illumination of the pet leash and the location of the pet during dusk or nighttime hours. This reflective pet collar and/or leash is created by forming a substantially flat reflective woven band composed of narrow width reflective strips that comprise woven or knitted reflective threads. A raised, braided, dimensional band is optionally placed atop the substantially flat reflective woven band to further increase reflectivity and visibility thereof. The flexible reflective threads are composed of microsphere retroreflectors coated with water resistant compound and, optionally, a poly-phosphorus material. The collar or leash may alternatively be formed by embedding a plurality of microscopic reflectors into the braided weave of a fabric. Upon being embedded, the microscopic reflectors act like smooth mirrors which operate collectively to provide a reflective medium. Due to the braided weave of the fabric and the presence of the raised, braided dimensional band atop the woven fabric, microscopic reflectors within the dimensional band direct light incident thereon from virtually any angle back to its source.

Abstract:
A double diaper package includes adhesively attached, similarly sized inner and outer diapers. Each of the diapers has a liquid permeable skin contacting net and a liquid impermeable polymeric back sheet edge bonded to each other so as to surround and encase a super-absorber in a fibrous matrix. The inner diaper has an adhesive coated edge flap of the liquid impermeable sheet extending from the edge bond. This edge flap secures the outer diaper to the inner diaper, forming a double diaper package that is attached to the baby using waist-securing tabs connected to the inner diaper. When soiled, the inner diaper is pulled away by releasing the waist-securing tabs and the adhesive edge flap attachment. The fresh, clean, outer diaper is attached using the waist-securing tabs of the outer diaper. The inner soiled diaper is then discarded.
