    摘要: An exemplary method implements route optimization in an IP telecommunication network that supports wireless mobile stations (MSs). IP address information related to packet flow for MSs is identified and stored in records at a local mobility anchor point (LMAP). The records are compared to determine matching pairs, i.e. records that represent that a first MS is engaged in a communication session with a second MS. First and second points of attachment nodes are determined that support the first and second MS, respectively, based on IP address information contained in a matching pair of records associated with the first and second MS. A route optimization (RO) message is transmitted to the first and second point of attachment nodes, where the RO message includes an IP address of the other point of attachment node. The RO messages represent a request for the first and second point of attachment nodes to address packets sent between the first and second MS with a source address of one of the first and second point of attachment nodes and a destination address of the other of the first and second point of attachment nodes.

    摘要: A communication system reduces set up time for an inter-technology handoff of a multi-mode mobile station (MS) from a source network associated with a first radio frequency (RF) technology to a target network associated with a second RF technology by pre-establishing, prior to a determination to handoff the MS, a registration state of the MS and an authentication of the MS in association with the target network and second RF technology. In order to pre-establish the registration state and authentication, the MS exchanges messaging of the second RF technology with the second network via the first network and first RF technology. To facilitate the exchange, the MS includes shims in a second protocol stack associated with the second technology, which shims intercept second protocol stack signaling and redirect the intercepted signaling to a first protocol stack of the MS, associated with the first technology, for tunneling to the source network.

    摘要: In a storage system including a write-back cache, dirty data can be flushed from the cache while a controller continues to service host I/O requests. A controller is capable of flushing all the dirty data in the cache to a storage device in response to an indication to do so, such as an indication of impending failure. The controller is further capable of responding to I/O requests from the host during the flushing of the dirty data. In particular, the controller is capable of responding to write requests from the host system by storing data on the storage device during the flushing of the dirty data.
