[Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] In a system in which two or more sources of different frequency are fed to a common load, means are provided in each connection for permitting flow of its own energy to the load and for preventing flow of other frequencies back towards the associated source. The system is described for feeding carrier waves modulated respectively by voice and video frequencies to a common transmission line and aerial. In the drawings Tl and T2 are the sources, TL the common transmission line and A the aerial. The means referred to above may comprise suitable-dimensioned, closed or open, two-conductor line sections as indicated at d1 and d2, Fig. 1, or may be combinations of reactances as indicated at d 1, d 2, Fig. 2. Impedance matching of the antenna system and line TL is obtained by elements m, n dimensioned as set forth in Specification 478,211. Suitable dimensions for the elements where two and three frequencies are fed to the common line are set out in the Specification. Specification 457,911 also is referred to.
