Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed. Abstract: An electronic device includes wireless communication circuitry configured to perform wireless communication with at least one external electronic device, a sensor configured to obtain information related to the electronic device, a processor operatively coupled to the wireless communication circuitry and the sensor, and a memory operatively coupled to the processor. The memory may store instructions, which upon execution, enable the processor to control the electronic device to: obtain first information comprising information obtained through the sensor and information on a user of the electronic device, obtain second information for the at least one external electronic device from the at least one external electronic device through the wireless communication circuitry, generate at least one group based on at least one piece of criterion information based on the obtained first information and the obtained second information, and group the at least one external electronic device based on the generated at least one group.
