Abstract: An ebike comprises a front wheel, a rear wheel, a frame structure supported on the front wheel and the rear wheel, a motor assembly coupled to the frame structure, and a battery assembly configured to be coupled to the frame structure. The frame structure includes a head tube, a down tube, a top tube, a seat tube, and a diagonal tube coupling the top tube with the seat tube. The battery assembly is configured to be at least partially positioned in the down tube. The ebike further includes a user interface configured to be supported by the frame structure, and further includes an electrical cable coupling the user interface with the motor assembly, the electrical cable being positioned at least partially in the diagonal tube.

Abstract: The present invention provides an ebike comprising a wheel, a frame supported on the wheel, a motor for driving the wheel, and a battery for powering the motor. The battery includes a control panel that facilitates control of operation of the battery. For example, the control panel can include a power button to turn the battery on or off, plus and minus buttons to select different modes of the battery, and/or a series of lights that indicate a battery charge. Preferably, the series of lights form a closed loop around the power button and/or plus and minus buttons.

Abstract: A bicycle comprises a wheel, a frame supported on the wheel and including a tube hole, a motor mounted to the frame, a battery including battery hole extending completely through the battery, and a battery mounting pin extending through the battery hole and tube hole to secure the battery to the frame. In one embodiment, the tube includes spaced-apart first and second walls, with the tube hole through the first wall and a threaded hole through the second wall and aligned with the tube hole. Preferably, the battery mounting pin includes a threaded end, and the battery mounting pin is positioned through the tube hole and through the battery hole with the threaded end threaded into the threaded hole. The invention is also embodied in a method of mounting a battery to an ebike including the steps of aligning the battery hole with the tube hole and inserting a battery mounting pin through the tube hole and completely through the battery hole.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bicycle comprising a pivot interface between a battery and a frame. The pivot interface includes a pivot mount defining a recess on one of the frame and the battery, and an eccentric boss on the other of the frame and the battery. The boss has a first boss width that is insertable into the recess when the battery is in a first position, and the boss further has a second boss width larger than the first boss width and creating an interference fit with the recess when the battery is in a second position. At least one of the pivot mount and the boss is resilient in order to accommodate the interference fit. Preferably, the pivot mount is on the frame and the boss is on the battery, and also the pivot mount preferably comprises a resilient material.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bicycle comprising a motor mounted to a motor mount of the bicycle frame. The motor mount includes a down tube mount coupled to a down tube, a chainstay mount coupled to a chainstay, and a side brace secured to the down tube mount and wrapping around one side of the motor to the chainstay mount. Preferably, when viewed from the side, the side brace extends directly from the down tube mount to the chainstay mount. Preferably, the motor mount further comprises a lower support secured to the down tube mount and wrapped around a bottom of the motor to the chainstay mount. The motor mount can further include an upper support connecting the seat tube mount to the down tube mount. This upper support can include an upper flange secured to the motor.
