Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving reference signal transmission information in a cellular radio communication system using a Cooperative Multi-Point (CoMP) scheme is provided. In the reference signal transmission information transmission method, a Central Control Apparatus (CCA) transmits measurement set information related to a measurement set including at least one reference signal resource unit through which a reference signal is transmitted, and reference signal transmission timing information including information related to a timing at which the reference signal is transmitted to a User Equipment (UE), and transmits reference signal non-transmission timing information including information related to a timing at which the reference signal is not transmitted through the reference signal resource unit to the UE.
