    Abstract: A second network node in a wireless communication system includes a transceiver and at least one processor configured to control the transceiver to receive, from a first network node, at least one of a first scheduling request (SR) or a first buffer status report (BSR); control the transceiver to transmit, to a third network node, at least one of a second SR or a second BSR based on the first SR or the first BSR before receiving data to be transmitted corresponding to the first SR or the first BSR from the first network node; control the transceiver to receive, from the third network node, a first uplink (UL) grant corresponding to the second SR or the second BSR; control the transceiver to receive the data from the first network node; and control the transceiver to transmit the data to the third network node.
