Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data rate than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for operating a base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises: generating remaining minimum system information (RMSI) comprising random access channel (RACH) configuration, wherein the RACH configuration comprises an association between RACH resources and one of a synchronization signal (SS) block and channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources; and transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), the RMSI.

The method may include: measuring beam state information by using a first reception chain and a second reception chain; controlling beam state information on the first reception chain to correspond to beam state information on the second reception chain; calculating state information on each beam based on the controlled beam state information on the first reception chain and beam state information on the second reception chain; and reporting state information on one or more beams.

A method and system for managing data transmission in a communication network is provided. During Data Resource Bearer (DRB) creation, network signals to a transmitting node, the data transfer requirement. The network uses a signaling parameter to indicate a large data transfer requirement. Based on the data transfer requirement information collected from the network, the transmitting node determines the type of data format that needs to be used for the data transmission. If the network signals large data transfer requirement, then the transmitting node selects a Subheader format in which the length field of the data format suits the large data transfer requirement. Further, data communication is initiated using the selected Subheader format.

A predetermined number of consecutive out-of-syncs for a special cell are received. A timer for the special cell is started. A radio link failure (RLF) is detected upon an expiration of the timer. A failure message including failure type is transmitted to the first base station in case that the RLF for the special cell is associated with the second base station.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and system for managing session across multiple electronic devices in a network system. The method includes receiving by a target electronic device a first message from a source electronic device which includes a request to transfer context associated with at least one ongoing session on the source electronic device. Further, the method includes sending a response message to the source electronic device which includes a confirmation for the context transfer to. Further, the method includes receiving a Carry Your Own Context (CYOC) container associated with the at least one ongoing session from the source electronic device, wherein the CYOC container consists of cellular parameter information required for seamless session transfer from the source electronic device to the target electronic device. Furthermore, the method includes completing the at least one session transfer using the cellular parameter information received in the CYOC container.

Abstract: A method and system for assigning a unique logical address in a cloud cell having a mobile station, slave base stations and a master base station are provided. The method includes determining at least one unassigned logical address from respective address spaces associated with the slave base stations and the master base station in the cloud cell by the master base station, selecting the unique logical address from the at least one unassigned logical address determined from the respective address spaces associated with the plurality of base stations, and assigning the selected unique logical address to the mobile station in the cloud cell. The mobile station and each of the plurality of base stations communicate in the cloud cell using the assigned unique logical address.
