    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating content. The systems and methods include operations for: identifying a content item generation template that is associated with instructions for generating a content item; displaying, by a messaging application, an identifier of the content item generation template; receiving, by the messaging application, input that selects the identifier of the content item generation template; retrieving, by the messaging application, a plurality of content items associated with the content item generation template, each of the plurality of content items having been previously generated by a respective user of a plurality of users of the messaging application in accordance with the instructions associated with the content item generation template; and displaying, by the messaging application, the retrieved plurality of content items associated with the content item generation template.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining that a message received from a second computing device associated with a second user is an interactive message and causing the interactive message to be displayed. In response to a selection to skip engagement with the interactive message, the systems and methods display a message feed with a list of a plurality of users and cause a selectable engagement indicium to be displayed next to a list entry of the second user in the list. The system and methods further determine that a predetermined amount of time has elapsed since the start time of the display of the interactive message without engagement with the interactive message and cause the interactive message to be deleted from the message feed and the selectable engagement indicium removed from next to the list entry of the second user.

    Abstract: The subject technology receives, at a client device, a selection of a first selectable graphical item, the first selectable graphical item comprising a first augmented reality content generator corresponding to a particular geolocation. The subject technology causes display, at the client device, of a graphical interface comprising a plurality of selectable augmented reality content items, each selectable augmented reality content item corresponding to a particular activity based at in part on the particular geolocation. The subject technology receives, at the client device, a second selection of a particular selectable augmented reality content item from the plurality of selectable augmented reality content items. The subject technology causes display, at the client device, at least one second augmented reality content item generated by the first augmented reality content generator, the at least one second augmented content item comprising a three-dimensional (3D) scene based at least in part on the particular geolocation.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for displaying augmented reality content. The program and method provide for causing, by a messaging application running on a device, a camera of the device to capture an image; receiving by the messaging application, speech input to select augmented reality content for display with the image; determining at least one keyword included in the speech input; determining that the at least one keyword indicates an object depicted in the image and an action to perform with respect to the object; identifying, from plural augmented reality content items, an augmented reality content item that corresponds to performing the action with respect to the object; and displaying the augmented reality content item with the image.
