    摘要: The photoelectric encoder of the present invention has a light-emitting device and light-receiving devices arranged in one direction in a region that light from the light-emitting device can reach. When a moving object that alternately has a light-on portion that produces a state in which light is incident on the light-receiving device and a light-off portion that produces a state in which light is not incident on the light-receiving device passes at a prescribed movement frequency in the one direction, an output of each of the light-receiving devices takes a value corresponding to the incidence or nonincidence of light on the light-receiving device. A logical operating section carries out operation of the logical values expressed by the outputs of the light-receiving devices to form an output signal that has a frequency different from the movement frequency.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a heat-generating component, a power generation device including a thermoelectric element, a heat radiation device, a cooling device, a temperature detector that detects a temperature increase of the heat-generating component, and a controller. The heat radiation device includes a first radiator plate interposed between the heat-generating component and a surface of the thermoelectric element and a second radiator plate attached to another surface of the thermoelectric element. The cooling device cools the first radiator plate. The controller controls operations of the cooling device and the power generation device by operating the cooling device if the detected temperature increase reaches at least a predetermined threshold value, and causing the power generation device to generate power without operating the cooling device to cool the first radiator plate passively if the detected temperature increase falls below the predetermined threshold value.

    摘要: This optical encoder includes a light emitting section and a plurality of light receiving elements placed so as to be aligned in one direction in an area where a light beam from the light emitting section may reach. A moving object includes a light-ON section, a light-OFF section and an index pattern section. The light receiving element outputs a first light receiving signal when the light-ON section and the light-OFF section of the moving object pass through a predetermined position corresponding to the light receiving element. The light receiving element outputs a second light receiving signal when the index pattern section of the moving object passes through a predetermined position corresponding to the light receiving element. The output section outputs an incremental channel signal indicating movement information of the moving object based on the first light receiving signal while outputting an index channel signal indicating reference position of the moving object based on the second light receiving signal. The incremental channel signal and the index channel signal are out of phase with each other.
