An image processing method is provided in which the component values of hue, saturation and lightness of an image represented by image data are independently changed. 摘要： A gradation-correcting curve to correct a gradation of an input image is generated. Gradation correction based on the gradation-correcting curve is made to a boundary pixel of a color-reproduction space at the same saturation as that of a target lattice point and at a hue of the target lattice point. An equal-saturation line is set by using the boundary pixel of the color-reproduction space after the gradation correction. A saturation-correction amount of the target lattice point is decided based on the gradation-correcting curve and the equal-saturation line.

摘要： The present invention provides an image processing device which adaptively switches between emphasis of a specified color in an image and emphasis of the entire image. The image processing device of the present invention includes: a storage unit storing a plurality of color emphasis tables for emphasizing a specified color; a calculation unit calculating magnitudes of respective color emphasis effects when the plurality of color emphasis tables stored by the storage unit is applied to the image; a selection unit selecting one or more color emphasis tables according to the magnitudes of the color emphasis effects; and a correction unit correcting the specified color in the image by applying the color emphasis tables selected by the selection unit to the image.

摘要： When printing image data obtained by an input device, the present invention is intended to effectively utilize the color reproduction area of the printer. An image data processing method of the present invention comprises the steps of scale-down shifting a first color space point outside a maximum color reproduction area of an output unit to a second color space point within the maximum color reproduction area of the output unit; computing an amount of shift by which the first color space point is shifted to the second color space point; converting the second color space point to a third color space point within a color reproduction area smaller than the maximum color reproduction area of the output unit; and outputting an image to the output unit using image data obtained by scale-up shifting the third color space point to a fourth color space point within the maximum color reproduction area of the output unit based on the computed shift amount.
