In a demodulation path selection unit 8, the power value from a short-time integration path search unit 6 is integrated for a short time to select higher power values in the magnification order, and the power value from a long-time integration path search unit 7 is integrated for a long time to select higher power values in the magnification order. The reception timing is selected from the power values selected in the short-time and long-time integration path search units, and the despreading is performed according to the reception timing in the correlator 9, and a composite signal is identified in a RAKE/SD unit 11 to obtain a judgment value.

    摘要: In a radio communication system such as a digital automobile telephone, a VOX controller stops a transmission of a frame having no voice data to perform power savings, and a VOX device discriminates whether the voice data are present or absent in each frame. In a reference power measuring circuit, all or selected pilot signals of a received frame are oppositely rotated using theoretical values of the pilot signals to uniform their phases, and in-phase vector synthesis is conducted. The vector synthesis result is averaged by the number of the synthesis symbols, and an absolute value of the averaged vector value becomes the desired signal reference power X. In a fading compensation circuit, by using the previous and next pilot signals of a data part, each fading vector is calculated. In a power measuring circuit, the data upon which the fading compensation has been conducted are oppositely rotated to uniform their phases, and in-phase vector synthesis is carried out. The vector synthesis result is averaged by the number of the synthesis symbols, and an absolute value of the averaged vector value become a received signal power Y. In a discrimination circuit, the desired signal reference power X and the received signal power Y are compared with each other to carry out a VOX discrimination.

    摘要: An adaptive transmission timing control system is provided in which a base station can correctly instruct a mobile station of a timing control signal indicating the amount of variation in transmission timing and a multipath situation can be estimated in the base station with accuracy. When control information for controlling transmission timing of an upstream signal of the mobile station is generated in the base station, the mobile station is notified of the control information in every frame of the upstream signal. Specifically, the control information is generated by determining the transmission timing using a power delay profile in which frames of the upstream signal are added and synthesized in every RTT (Round Trip Time) cycle of the upstream signal. This makes it possible to heighten resistance to an error in the timing control signal, and transmission timing control can be carried out correctly.

Amplitudes of the input symbol sequences are estimated from the auto-correlations of the input symbol sequences. The demodulated sequences are maximal-ratio combined according to the estimated errors and the estimated amplitudes. From the combined signal, the output symbol sequence is produced by a decision circuit.
